Tales of woe at which the reader is permitted to laugh
Time

I forgot to tie my drawstring before a high school swimming race. I dived in, lost my pants, momentarily stopped, decided (for some reason) to keep going, and came third.

After explaining to the official (an elderly lady) why I couldn't get out, I had to stand naked at the end of the pool until she got my towel, and then put it on while I was still in the water.

No "secret keel" jokes, please :P

Ultimate Spider-Man

It's got nothing on Spectacular. Why they have saddled the webslinger with Nick Fury and bunch of nobodies is a mystery to me. A very large part of the character's appeal to me is that he is a young hero that has to make hard choices on his own. We've already got The Avengers - Earth's Mightiest Heroes for a Marvel team-up cartoon (which by the way is excellent).

30!

I am done with the assignments - Strawberry and Chocolate Technicolor Phantoms up for grabs for anyone that wants to change or people missing from the list. You can also follow Anchorhead's lead and choose your own villain from a later Scooby-Doo series - just don't have too many Scooby snacks like greeny and pick an avatar from the wrong cartoon...

I know I may have taken part of the fun out of the theme for some of you by choosing all the avatars (or maybe leaving you out) and for that I apologise, but I initially just did this for entertainment purposes and did not expect it would actually be successful as a theme. Turns out this "forced fun" approach is the way to get numbers :P

Question, are these assignments mandatory? I ask because I'm not a fan of clowns and I've always been fond of C3PX's (reminds me of my dad for some reason). Oh and it's an honor to even be included, I just want to thank the academy and everyone who helped get me here.

C3PX doesn't seem to be using it... I don't mind, maybe send him a quick PM just in case he plans to.

I still love the White/Struzan '78 "circus" poster best. It's a masterpiece, imo.

Struzan's the man.

Yes, this is just a shameless plug for the Scooby-Doo villains avatar theme. Follow the link in my signature to get yours if you want to join in. Sorry I couldn't do everybody, but I started at the bottom of the barrel and worked my way up; so if you're not there it is probably a compliment. If you are missing and really want one send me a PM, there's a couple left I can do.
