Idea: GOUT V3 and DVDO ISCAN upscaler/processor?
Time

I have a DVDO EDGE which does about the same processing as the ISCAN. Also have a Pioneer Elite Laser Disc player and JVC D-VHS VCR and can attest to what this processor is capable of achieving with low resolution sources. My capture device is a Hauppauge! HD PVR that is connected via USB to my computer. It can do 1080i and 720P and also can capture the raw Dolby Digital audio from LD and DVD's. I own the GOUT Trilogy and can do some sample captures if you guys are interested. I have Dark_Jedi's V3 DVD's also and can see how these look up-converted.

Star Wars OT & 1997 Special Edition - Various Projects Info (Released)
Time

dark_jedi this is truly spectacular. You and You_Too have done a great job with this especially considering the source. My only issue is during the opening I can see some blocking and changes in brightness as the camera pans down. The film looks very grainy but I am a fan of grain since this originated from film. The color looks spot on and I am astonished with the amount of detail that you pulled from the non-anamorphic DVD. Loved the music.;)

I used to think the KCCI version was the best, but Zions version is definitely better, actually way better to me, I just looked it over yesterday, Zion did a great job on this release, and I agree with him that this is probably the best this will ever be.

I agree. Zion's version is amazing when you consider the source that was used to create it. I'm shocked with the amount of detail that he was able to pull from the original recordings. Great job on the audio too.

Info: General Terminator 1 & 2 Discussions.
Time

Just got my new custom Blu-ray burned with Dark Jedi's mono PCM Laser disc track (long live Laser Disc;) and jj666's DTS-MA track he made from the Blu-ray's 5.1 PCM track. Watching now and I gotta say, seeing Terminator in HD along with the original audio is fucking awesome.;) A real treat. I can see no issues with the sync. It's perfect all around. Thanks you so much Dark Jedi for putting this together and making it available to the rest of us.

Wow. The official Blu-ray's are fast approaching with less than a month until launch and nobody has even hinted at putting these up on the servers so that the rest of us can enjoy them. Hopefully they will be available soon so I can see for myself the amazing work that Dark Jedi has done with the non anamorphic GOUT DVD's.;)
