Info: Star Trek HD Caps
Time

Jetrell Fo said:

I'm guessing there are no caps for 7,8,9?  From what I can see Sky showed them but only 6 caps are available.

Bummer.

I have some great news guys! 7,8, and 9 are, in fact, available on Usenet.:) Again, they are over 1600 days old so you will need a bad ass provider. PM me for the file names. They have no password this time.

I have the Star Trek Movies 1-6 SkyHD caps. They are h264 with Dolby Digital 5.1. Unlike the Blu-ray's, they don't suffer from DNR and IMO have the original theatrical colors.

Do you have info on them?  Are these the 4.3GB versions I saw but didn't have any seeders for snatching?

No. These are of very high quality and about 13-16 gigs each. They are apparently still available on Usenet although about 1600 days old so you will need a provider with a long retention. PM me for the file names and the passwords.

Very happy to see The White Buffalo. What a treat.

Hey anyone know if it's possible to crack DVHS recordings that are Copy Once protected? I have numerous never going to be released titles on DVHS I'd love to rescue to Blu Ray.

Must be because I have Alien and True Lies plus others from DVHS. These are 1:1 .ts copies with no quality loss. I got them from Usenet years ago. I have no idea how the encryption was broken.

What size is the Alien DVHS?  I've only got the DVD9 version.

It's 18.9 GiB on RuTracker.

Sounds about right. I do know that I was able to convert to a single layer BD-R. Looks great and IMO the color timing is more faithful to the original theatrical release than the official Blu-ray.

I just finished watching Teamblu's FN2 release in full.

WOW I just can't believe it. It's so great. The work you guys are pulling off is amazing, feels like magic!!!!

The PCM track is unbelieable!

Also, movie was so much fun (I was a fan of the first one, but I hadn't watched the sequel yet).

The bonus material suprised me again (like it did on NTLD and Conan), and that's a huge compliment, because I'm no fan of extras beside trailers.

Speaking of which, the Space Kaijuu remastered HD trailer is icing on the cake (awesome!). If you're reading this, please, we need more of it!

Let's not forget the menus, they were just how I like them: simple, effective and with a great soundtrack to boot.

Fantastic work, Congratulations to the Team again!

I agree. It was a real treat when I found this Blu-ray in my mail. Thanks you so much dark_jedi for sending me a copy. Team Blu has done a superb job with this project. The quality of the transfer is quite good. I especially like the custom 5.1 Dolby Digital track that was created from the PCM 2.0. It really opens up the sound and never sounds artificial. The "extras" are very nice and surprised me especially the 6 mini Lobby cards that are included and printed on thick card stock. The authoring of the Blu-ray is very professional and is of retail quality. Great job Team Blu.

yep, that was my question ;)

i know 3 sources of the unrated cut in hd

1. apple itunes
2. monster hd cap
2. vudu hdx

i have the first two + the unrated ld, which contains the original theatrical mix. on top i have the r1 dvd, which contains both cuts.

I'm not 100% sure but I believe the Amazon HD stream is the unrated version so that makes 4 sources.

Help: looking for... Return of The Living Dead Part II
Time

dark_jedi don't give up hope just yet as I have just rented the HDX version (downloading now to my WD Live Hub). I will try capping it later tonight to my Hauppauge HD PVR. It does 1080i H-264 with a maximum bit-rate of  13.5Mbs which should be enough to capture the full quality of the HDX stream. It also will capture the Dolby Digital stream (5.1 or 2.0) as it has an optical in and my WD has an optical out. I will save the file to .ts so that You_Too  can better work with it and hopefully improve the image quality.

Our Night Of The Living Dead 1990 project (Released)
Time

Great news! The file part 20 has suddenly become active and I have been able to finish my download. Thanks to dark_jedi. I have taken a quick look and can say this is the definitive release of NOTLD. Both versions look absolutely amazing. That is all for now. I will give a more detailed review later this evening after I burn it to disc and watch on my 60" Sharp.
