My family went to see Jaws back in 1975 at a "drive in", and my sister and I remember that scene was complete. Universal wanted a softer film for the teen crowd, and wanted the gore of that autopsy cut back. If you look at the scene you can see the obvious edit. It's just after Hooper says, "This is what happens"....

Unfortunately, the only print of this is hiding out with the one print of Star Wars with the Biggs scene back in that everyone has claimed to see.

Never happened.

Not sure what else on the second disc. I don't have much more room at this point. Might just put some DVD-Rom bonus features on there.

You might consider putting the full soundtrack on the DVD-ROM features.

Ha. I'm putting a lossless version of the Gongo soundtrack on there. Already ahead of you.

There was a different version on the other 2 disc set but it was atrocious. I think it was called the Esper version. It had sound effects and all sorts of other shit in it. Pointless.

BTW, i got the menu screens today so I'll be putting it together and hopefully seeding this weekend!!!

Shifty, I haven't noticed any problems. I just watched a few small clips on my PC but didn't see anything weird. It definitely looked good enough to hold me over until I get a blu-ray burner

I've thought of doing this...and it has been brought up. You just have to search.

There are no deleted scenes beyond what has already been put onto DVD. There's also not much one could do with what has been released.

Beyond inserting the deleted scenes, there's nothing to do with the film. It's pretty much perfect as it is.

DF, your release of Blade Runner is kind of a unique situation as far as fan-releases go, because you're using an HD source, so what I was wondering was, besides a standard DVD release, would it be possible to do an xvid release as well, but in a large filesize (eg 4.37 gigs), in order to preserve the quality of the source as much as possible? Just a thought.

I've never done Xvid. As far as I know, Quicktime is the only one that can do an HD version on one disc and to be honest, I have too many other "releases" i'd like to deal with. This BR thing just kinda happened quickly and I'm doing it quickly. Sorry.

OK here's the deal, folks:

I'm not putting the Blade Runner discs out this week. I've been thinking a lot about it and rather than rush it, I'm going to do it right. I'm also going on a little vacation so I'll be back next week. It will also give Bunnydojo time to work on the menus and exclusive artwork. However, here's what to look forward to.

Disc 1
Movie (mastered from HD, 5.1 Surround)
Original Trailer
Director's Cut Trailer
"Future Shocks" documentary

Disc 2
"On The Edge of Blade Runner" documentary
"Hooray For Hollywood" special

Not sure what else on the second disc. I don't have much more room at this point. Might just put some DVD-Rom bonus features on there.

I've been using that as well, and its worked fine for me. I do think you have options
for specifying exactly what you want in terms of size. If not, try dropping an email
to the programs author. There is a thread of his at www.videohelp.com, and he
is great at responding to questions.

Also, i'll try and send some menus tonite, when i'm home from work.

yeah i just emailed him. i might just do a preliminary version with the program "as is" now. Seems like everyone has the same issue. They want to be able to have control over bitrate and size.

JPG's or BMP's are cool.

I'm having problems converting the TS to MPG. I was using HDTV2DVD and the resulting file just isn't big enough and the bitrate isn't high enough for my liking. I need to try and fix that. Is there another way to convert it to MPEG?
