Help Wanted: 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?' Laserdisc Footage - censored scene

I actually have a making of special for DT from the original release. Not sure if this is the same thing. I also have a trailer from the original Honey I Shrunk The Kids. Not sure if it's the same trailer.

I made a DVD of this plus the making of A League of Their Own (I'm a huge madonna fan).

Tequila,

I'm looking for these.

Can you turn on your PM's please?

I don't think we're going to start archiving things like this...at least I'm not going to. There are a billion articles on Indiana Jones, a lot of which I have. I'm not going to even bother with this.

In other news, there will eventually be other Indy releases. I just want to tackle something else right now.

Blade Runner HDTV (Released)
Time
OK so i'm starting to get anal...and here we go.

I just bought the Blade Runner laserdisc off of ebay. I'm going to be syncing up the sound from the original laserdisc (with a higher bitrate) and hope that it works well. This should solve any problems people had with the sound of the first release. The other thing I'm thinking about is putting back in the shots from the International version of the laserdisc that were cut out.
Before you ask, i'm NOT putting in the narration again. I hated it on the original version and I don't care to have it on my version. I don't have a problem with the violence so that will be back in. I'm also leaving the unicorn in as well. And no happy ending.
So I am going to try and get this out. Barring any other problems, hopefully i'll get it out in the next month. We'll see.

Are the audio and video streams ready? All it needs is syncing and mastering? If that's the case, I can do it very quickly. You know my address.

You've been elected then

I'll just burn them up in a day or so then, I'd like to do the menus though as I have a "master" plan at work here.

Rikter,

Are you still doing multiple audio options?

First: I read, searching through all the threads on this forum for tidbits, that you are doing a transfer of a 2-hour doc from the E.T. laserdisc (I assume that would include the Harrison Ford scene). Any news on when that might be?

Second: DavisDVD reports that a new Dracula DVD is being worked on at the moment. Doesn't sound (unsurprisingly) like it will include any of the Criterion extras (at least not directly ported) but I figured you'd be interested in hearing about it.

Yup...totally aware of it. it's possible that it might include SOME of the extras as the only thing that's really criterion produced is the commentary. But I'll still be doing my 2 disc edition.

The ET is on tap. I will be working on it. It shouldn't take too long but...I've just been busy dealing with other music projects that aren't for this site.

Dude....do me a favor.

DO NOT RESPOND in my thread any more about this Blade Runner issue.

NO ONE is going to make you a single layer version. if you want a single layer version, BUY THE ORIGINAL DVD.

Stop wasting page after page of this thread begging for a copy. Stop PMing me. Stop emailing me. Just stop.

At the moment, as far as i know, there are no dvr's that will output an anamorphic signal. The only boxes I know that do it are the Pioneer but I dunno if they have a DVR. The regular one does. Obviously you would't get 5.1 on that either...just 2.0.

So right now, you'll just have a better looking (hopefully) non-anamorphic disc.

MY HD DVR will do it, only to a HD Digital VHS recorder, with exceptions. The content can not be "Flagged" as "Record Once Only". My cable company sets that "Flag" on almost all HD content. Sometimes if I am lucky the flag is not set and I am able to record to my PC running "CapDVHS" a D-VHS emulator. The file can be converted to a DVD complient file that will output anamorphic video. I loose the 5.1 Dolby Digital audio though, as my DVD recording software converts it to 2 channel Dolby Digital and PCM during the transcoding. The process takes a lot of work and a long time so I only do it once and a while. The Last one I did was The Frighteners .

Are you able to capture playing back something from your DVR? Which do you have? I'm assuming you're hooked up through firewire.

Soundtrack is 2 channel. It was on a cable tv channel and I recorded it to my pc from my HD DVR out the S-Vidieo connection. I have no equipment to record digital audio. I have not even seen any sound cards that will allow you to do that.
