You've been elected then

I'll just burn them up in a day or so then, I'd like to do the menus though as I have a "master" plan at work here.

Rikter,

Are you still doing multiple audio options?

Second: DavisDVD reports that a new Dracula DVD is being worked on at the moment. Doesn't sound (unsurprisingly) like it will include any of the Criterion extras (at least not directly ported) but I figured you'd be interested in hearing about it.

Yup...totally aware of it. it's possible that it might include SOME of the extras as the only thing that's really criterion produced is the commentary. But I'll still be doing my 2 disc edition.

The ET is on tap. I will be working on it. It shouldn't take too long but...I've just been busy dealing with other music projects that aren't for this site.

Dude....do me a favor.

DO NOT RESPOND in my thread any more about this Blade Runner issue.

NO ONE is going to make you a single layer version. if you want a single layer version, BUY THE ORIGINAL DVD.

Stop wasting page after page of this thread begging for a copy. Stop PMing me. Stop emailing me. Just stop.

At the moment, as far as i know, there are no dvr's that will output an anamorphic signal. The only boxes I know that do it are the Pioneer but I dunno if they have a DVR. The regular one does. Obviously you would't get 5.1 on that either...just 2.0.

So right now, you'll just have a better looking (hopefully) non-anamorphic disc.

MY HD DVR will do it, only to a HD Digital VHS recorder, with exceptions. The content can not be "Flagged" as "Record Once Only". My cable company sets that "Flag" on almost all HD content. Sometimes if I am lucky the flag is not set and I am able to record to my PC running "CapDVHS" a D-VHS emulator. The file can be converted to a DVD complient file that will output anamorphic video. I loose the 5.1 Dolby Digital audio though, as my DVD recording software converts it to 2 channel Dolby Digital and PCM during the transcoding. The process takes a lot of work and a long time so I only do it once and a while. The Last one I did was The Frighteners .

Are you able to capture playing back something from your DVR? Which do you have? I'm assuming you're hooked up through firewire.

Soundtrack is 2 channel. It was on a cable tv channel and I recorded it to my pc from my HD DVR out the S-Vidieo connection. I have no equipment to record digital audio. I have not even seen any sound cards that will allow you to do that.

If you just put the movie up with just you seeding that would be fine, aleast I would be getting just the movie instead of all the extra stuff. So if you can just put up the movie that would be great, I don't mind just having one seeder for something like that.

Many thanks

No. Just the movie is still dual-layered. I'm not doing a single-layer version.

If you want a single layered version, you should buy the version that's out there.

Hacker,

Do you have a dual-layer burner? This set is essentially equivalent to 3 single layer discs. Even if I put this other version up, you'd have even LESS seeders (it would be just me). Even if there are a lot of leechers, that's not a problem because you'd be leeching off of them. That's the whole point. You don't have to worry about the one seeder until you get there.

No plans at the moment. I might do it since it's sitting on my PC right now. I'm waiting to hear back from people to see if it's better than the last one I did.

Reading this thread gives me a headache.

If anyone needs something NTSC copied, i could do that. i also have something that disabled copy-protection.

Yes, guys, I know it is ridiculous. I am a novice with no equipment other than my PC. And since the PC cannot help me to copy tapes at the moment, I tried to do it that way. The friend I mentioned is not any video professional and he uses his DVD recorder just to record PAL TV signal, he never needed to play or copy NTSC tapes.

so are you taking me up on my offer?
