Myspleen. I'm going to try and finish disc 2 tonight.
If anyone has any menu ideas...i'll probably need 2 screens for the "bonus disc." Feel free to shoot me an email at digitalfreaknyc@aol.com. The sooner I get the authoring done, the sooner you all get it

Question: should i torrent these separately or in one torrent? I can't imagine someone wanting one disc and not the other. I should be done with disc 2 in the next couple of days. What do you guys prefer?
Sorry for the delay in all of this. I've been working on far too many projects at once. Have some music DVD's plus the ones for here...plus a few that are just for my personal collection.

Actually i'm not reading the NFO files at all. My PC says that it gives an error every time some program tries to open them. I've never used that program before.

Well, if you're in a native PAL country (as I am), then the difference between NTSC and PAL is quite noticeable- see Moth3r's transfers, for example.
Fair enough. Having never seen native PAL I wouldn't know the visual difference. All I know is that the AUDIO difference is enough to drive me crazy.

Use a VMG menu and you're all set. You have different types in the same DVD without having to do any conversion. What program are you using to author? I use DVD-Lab

However, it's nice to have the original, contemporary documentaries and trailers preserved in the best possible transfer, because no matter how "made-for-TV" those docs and features were, they're what we remember watching from our childhood days, and I guess that's why a lot of us are here on these forums in the first place.
No i completely understand.
my point is that from release to release...the transfer quality is probably not going to be different at all. For instance, I have the Classic Creatures VHS from it's original release (Playhouse video, I believe) and it's still in great condition. Burned to DVD and should be seeded eventually. But I doubt you're ever going to get it in much better condition unless something official comes out. I can't believe the difference in PQ from NTSC to PAL would be that different.

I wouldn't use something that upconverted from 2.0 to 5.1. I want the original souce and nothing else. I don't even like "fake" 5.1 on official releases (like a lot of Paramount's, for instance).

1...2...5? Three, sir.
I'm assuming you're referring to the numbering on the Indy discs.
3 will be The Making of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
4 will most likely be the EPK for Last Crusade.
I am trying to get a complete copy of the "Heroes & Sidekicks: The Making of TOD" special but it seems like no one has one. I know of one person who has an edited version...so if anyone has any leads, I'd be open to it.
I probably won't be #ing any of the other releases besides Indy. I haven't decided yet.

Aren't the masters for the making of specials all 16mm? The quality will always be pretty poor...no matter what the mastering...no? I can't believe that they would have made different masters for this release.

I'm picking up Babyhum's mastering of two of the Indy specials so those should be up this weekend, barring anything else.
Also, sorry for the delay regarding Se7en but I wanted the sync to be absolutely perfect on the commentary and the movie so I completely re-did the first disc. It should be done by Friday and plan on working on the second disc this weekend.
So some good stuff coming up!!
