Sorry to break the news to you but no one's talking about Fight Club.
Originally posted by: Arnie.d I never said it's a director's cut. Nothing specific has to happen to know something takes longer. There is no head in the box? Then what do you think is in the box?
Actually, Ransom finally made it's way onto DVD and they didn't bother making it anamorphic (in the US). And IIRC, the original laserdisc didn't have any extras besides the "longer cut." Those extra scenes aren't even included in the new DVD either.
There was never a director's cut. There has never been a cut other than what you see. In fact, I believe Fincher had final cut on the movie anyway. There was a SPLIT second of a very close-up shot of Gweneth but that's it. And the head isn't in the box. And I don't know how your brother would remember a few extra seconds about "the guy in the bed" if nothing specific happened in those extra seconds. None of your post makes sense.
Also, the Biggs scenes weren't "released" until a few years ago. Before that, no one had seen them besides the people who had worked on the movie so your theory there doesn't work either.
DF001: The Making of Raiders of the Lost Ark will be seeded as soon as Se7en has a few seeds out there.
I'm currently working on sending The Making of Temple of Doom and the Last Crusade Electronic Press Kit to babyhum for authoring...as well as some other Star Wars gems for his side of things.
There is no "uncut" version. There is only the theatrical version.
Yes there is. At the end of the movie you actually see the head that's pulled out of the box. Also the scene when the guy tied to the bed is discovered is longer.
I got a copy of the Japanese 16x9 version of The Game which will be used as my master for the upcoming Criterion version. Due to it's scarcity and the ONLY 16x9 version of the movie in NTSC, I will be making the first disc a dual-layer version with the complete 5.1 movie soundtrack on there as well. Stay tuned!
Warner head talkes new Special Editions for Superman sequels
One year after Disc World first broke the story, the group of diehard Superman fans who lobbied Warner Home Video to release Superman II as a speacial edition DVD may just be about to get their wish. With Brian Singer's Superman Returns expected in June 2006, Warner Home Video has confirmed plans to release special edition discs of each of the three Superman movie sequels (the original Superman The Movie received substancial special edition treatment on its debut in 2001). "They'll either come out around the theatrical release date of Superman Returns," confirmes Neil McEwan, the managing directory for Warner Home Video in the UK, "Or worse case around the DVD release in the United States. It's just the perfect timing. We'd be silly to wait until 2007 or 2008... when we can capitalise on the general interest in Superman that would be overwhelming because of the new movie." The announcement, due later this year, will confirm whether scenes starring Marlon Brando and Christopher Reeve, that had long been considered lost, will be a part of hte new retail package.
I will be uploading it as soon as one of the Indy discs is done seeding. Should be within the next 24 hours. Both discs will be together in one bundle since I doubt no one would want one and not the other.
Im' still seeding the two Indy discs but as soon as one of them is done, I'm going to start seeding the Se7en set. I will put the two discs together so it might take a while to download but they will definitely be there!
The update is that I'm going to get it out this weekend if it kills me. I kept having a problem with it that I fixed late last night..but too late to author the final disc for disc 1. the menus for disc two turned out so good that I decided to do disc 1 over again. The person who did the artwork for the set actually made backgrounds for the menus screens for me. Sorry if I'm being anal about this project but hopefully everything I learn on this one will help the others to come along more quickly. Plus i'd rather get out something that I'm completely happy with rather than always being annoyed at certain things. Rest assured, you will be the first to know when it's done.
I would assume that this set and two of my Indiana Jones discs will be up this weekend.
