STAR WARS: EP VI -RETURN OF THE JEDI "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - ** PRODUCTION HAS NOW RESTARTED **
Time

I personally like to think that although there isn’t a time jump between the end of TFA and the beginning of TLJ, the is a time jump of who knows how long between when Rey and Chewie leave to find Luke and when they actually find him.

Like, that journey following the map should at least take a month in my mind, with some adventures through unknown space. I still think TFA should have ended as soon as they went to lightspeed.

The Hobbit: Roadshow Edition ❖ FIRST TEASER NOW ONLINE ❖ (a WIP)
Time

I personally think the narration is a great idea for this film. Having attempted to make an edit of the films myself moving so quickly through it given the footage we have is really difficult. Having the narration (which I had never thought of before) seems to be a great avenue to move the plot along without it feeling like chunks of the film are missing.

General Star Wars Random Thoughts Thread
Time

The sheer amount of people who have hate for TLJ baffle me sometimes. And the fact that I want to be accepted makes me question my opinion of TLJ.

Also I don’t like people who take Star Wars quotes and change them to try and be relevant. For example, “You refer to the prophecy of the one who will bring balance to the force. You believe it’s this…editor?” - Jeremy Jahns from the trailer for Ivan Ortega’s edit of TLJ. It’s just annoying and I don’t like it, dang it.

Star Wars Fan Films / Shorts - a general discussion thread
Time

I really liked the ideas behind the Star Wars Theory Vader film. It’s clearly a fan film, but as fan films go it is really up there. The short scenes in space alone are incredible. One tiny gripe is that the Clone Trooper actors were moving their blasters up and down which just doesn’t happen in the Star Wars Universe.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

I hope this isn’t true. Specifically the idea that Rey would just put the Skywalker lightsaber back together… it just seems like a cop out to the toxic side of the fandom.

Also Kylo just reconstructing his helmet. It’s just moving the story backwards instead of forwards…

Thoughts?

The Original Trilogy Radical Redux Ideas Thread
Time

I recall in one of the Star Wars books that there is an untouched portion of Coruscant. Endor could be repurposed as the untouched small part on Endor, where the shield generator would be hidden.

It makes sense for the Empire to hide their super important shield generator in a forested part of the planet where people don’t live or go to. I know the untouched part of coruscant was actually deforested before the OT but you would only know that if you read Catalyst.

So, perhaps the Death Star 2 is being built and they discovered this and decide the only way to survive is to freaking zerg rush the capital in a last ditch effort to win because if they finish the Death Star 2 then they believe that the war would essentially be over. I like the idea of putting the Luke-Vader fight being put on the same planet as the Rebels heading for the shield generator. And then instead of Luke pulling Vader out of the DS2 he’s trying to get out of the capital before the DS2 pieces fall onto the capital.

TFA: A Gentle Restructure (Released)
Time

As far as the V1 vs V2 debate, I for one am more inclined to the V1 version since it felt like the Resistance absolutely failed and that their destruction of SKB was out of revenge. Almost like a “Remember the Alamo” type of situation.

Having SKB just immediately start targeting the Resistance base almost makes out the First Order to be too good at what they do. I like the idea of them being almost like children trying to take each others toys away. SKB destroys the Republic, and then the Resistance destroys SKB out of spite and revenge.

Just my 2 cents

STAR WARS: EP IV 2004 REVISITED ADYWAN *1080p HD VERSION NOW IN PRODUCTION
Time

I just had this thought when I was watching ANH:R last night. I understand that you are going to be changing some things between the current form of ANH:R and what will become ANH:R HD. Now what follows isn’t supposed to be inflammatory it was just a thought that I found interesting.

Would you consider the fact that you are tweaking with your version of ANH:R to be almost akin to the way Lucas tweaked with the standard ANH. We’re coming upon the same dilemma where the original ANH:R will not be available in an HD format, just like the OUT is not available in HD formats. You changed your mind about some decisions that were made and want this new HD version to be the definitive version of the films, yet there are people (like me) that would just like to see the current ANH:R but in HD.

I’m not sure this equates completely, but I feel like you could understand Lucas’s mindset on why the Special Editions exist in the first place. I also recall a popular argument for why the Special Editions are bad is because they supersede the Original Versions. That same thing is now going to happen with ANH:R. I’m not trying to be accusatory, I just thought this was something as a community that we could discuss.

Star Wars: Resistance (animated series) - a general discussion thread
Time

Just finished watching the first episode. Overall I liked it

The Animation: I agree with DominicCobb in that there were moments where it looked really cool and then there were moments that it just looked like crap. However, while we’re talking about the visuals, it was really cool seeing some classic Star Wars creatures again.

The Story: For me, the coolest things were at the very beginning and the very end. I understand that we’re setting up the characters, but it honestly felt like this episode had no meat to it. Pretty much like your first day at school where you say your name and what you did last summer. Yet finally actually seeing the New Republic military in any capacity made me really happy.

I guess we shall see where it goes.

The Mandalorian - Star Wars live action TV series : Non Spolier thread

What do you guys think the odds are of a home video release of the series? Would this be something that the fans would have to produce themselves as far as packaging?

JEDIT: Also I’m excited for a fan edit of the series to a movie or two! That would be cool. For no other reasons than I think so…

Han - Solo Movie ** Spoilers **
Time

There are so many retailer exclusives now that its crazy what is and isn’t left out of different releases.

For Disney movies since Black Panther Wal-Mart has not had digital codes. Why? I couldn’t tell you. This is the first time it has affected a Star Wars release. It is kind of stupid how the Wal-Mart “exclusive” is the normal one without a digital code.

If you want a Blu-ray-Dvd-Digital you have to go through Disney Movie Club, which is again silly.

Target has its exclusive packaging since Rogue One with the bigger boxes akin to the LOTR DVD Extended Editions. This release this time around is 4K-BR-Digital. They are really cool but for sake of consistency I go with the next option.

Best-Buy is the steelbook store which is 4k-BR-Digital this time around. For TLJ they had two waves of steelbooks for BR-DVD-DIgital or 4K-BR-Digital, this time theres only one choice. All the Star Wras movies I have are in steelbook form because I like them to match.

The standard releases are BR-Digital, 4K-BR-Digital, or DVD ONLY. These can be found almost anywhere, I think even certain Wal-Marts… (WalMart needs to get their crap together)

These are all the US releases of Solo that I am aware of.

Star Wars: Resistance (animated series) - a general discussion thread

I had a conversation with my friend when the trailer came out. The gist of our conversation was it looks kiddish and he animations looks kiddish. Then we realized funny enough we had the same initial reaction to Rebels when it’s first trailer dropped and ended up loving that show. So we’re both optimistic.
