Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I see.  It was probably the most nitpicky comment of all time anyway.

I used to look at Mike Verta's shots with a bit of envy but a great deal more sadness that such an important piece of film history was essentially rendered unavailable by the poor decisions of George Lucas.  Your latest work print has me more excited about Star Wars than I've been since the early 1980s.  It really feels like we're stepping back in time.  Thank you, sincerely, for all of your hard work.

If this were a democracy, I would vote for the burn marks remaining in the film.  I'm just glad someone with the skills is willing to work so hard to preserve one of history's most important films.  On a less philanthropic note, I cannot wait until it is finished so I turn this on and step back into 1977!

that blue halo is originally there.

Yes.  I just looked at the GOUT and there's definitely a blue halo around the engines of the Falcon in that shot.  Maybe not as pronounced as in the work print. A result of some changes Harmy made to boost the brightness of the star field?  In any event, I think the shot looks fine and the work print looks divine.

Harmy,

Oh my goodness, the work you are doing on version 2 is absolutely stunning.  I simply cannot wait to see this goodness for myself.  Please keep up the great work.  Is it too late to get a link to the latest work print?  Is it even worth it at this point or are you planning on a new version soon?

Best regards and thanks.  I feel like a kid again!

Harmy,

Is it too late to get a PM to your preview?  Also, do you think there's still a chance for a Christmas release?  I know you lost quite a bit of time waiting for the USB drive to arrive.  I certainly don't mean to seem greedy; I am simply amazed by the work you have done so far.  After purchasing and watching the blu-rays of the Original Trilogy, I decided that I'd never watch the ANH blu-ray again.

On a related note, my wife saw Star Wars for the first time last weekend...the version she watched was your Despecialized Edition 1.0.  She simply loved it!
