I've just had my final(ish as ever) test burn, just to make sure the film looks fine. And it's all looking good. Subs look good, no lip synch issues (which is what plagues me about The Sith Revealed), bonus features look good too. I'm hoping for a final release by the end of the month.....
I'm looking at extra content for the Clones Revealed DVD but a lot of what I have is NTSC. Is there a quick and easy way of converting a short mpeg video from NTSC to PAL?
I am one seriously happy dude! We are good to G.O. on the subtitle front. Managed to suss it out in DVD Lab Pro itself, and got exactly what I needed! So I went through half the movie today, writing down the timing, whapped the times into DVD Lab Pro, burned off a test copy (the number of discs Ive used on test copies alone must be ridiculous), and hey presto, it works! And it looks bloody spot on to...top notch stuff.
So, we finally hit the home strecth. Half a movie left to subtitles (no more than 3 or 4 hours work), then onto the actual DVD authoring. Just working on a few ideas now for menu backgrounds. Won't be a very elaborate thing, my menu's never are. Although I am at least planning to put a disclaimer at the beginning of the discs, just haven't decided who's to steal/use yet?
just a quick progress report so you don't all think I've dropped of the planet. Also figured I'd bump my own thread to try n drum up some interest with the influx of new members we've had recently.
I'm on one final pass through of the main video....I've said this about 3 times now but whilst watching the test DVD back I noticed lots of odd frames here n there that wern't showing up in Womble. So I'm having to watch it thru, spot the frames, then shave a frame either side of that point, and hope it works lol.
Still struggling to find an easy way of getting the subtitle effect I'm looking for tho
I was just about to ask the same thing. I'm having a nightmare with the new site, and not being able to keep the videos on my hd will really piss me off. Maybe someone could volunteer to grab them then up them to RS?
Originally posted by: SweHanzon If you wanna have burnt in subtitles, just do an image file like the ones I sent you for the end credits to put on top of the video.
Have the text where you want it in the picture, and give the image an all-black background. Use the thingie in the program to remove the black and now you have a burnt in sub. You know how it works
At least I think this'd work.
I've been trying this as it seems the most effecient way round these problems, but once dragged in the images lose a lot of their sharpness, and just don't look right. Could you let me know what program and settings you used?
so far every single program I've treied hasnt suited my needs here or I just haven't been able to make it work. I've just downloaded AVISynth but it's a jibberish to me so if someone could talk me through?
I've got all my subs both as a word doc and .txt doc, do I first need to manually go through and work out the times for these? I thought Manuel Video Subtitler would do the job since you can have a preview video (again this has caused grief but I've manage to encode a very small and poor quality mpeg to use as a preview) but didn't seem to save as a recognisable file type
I love my PS2 and have no intention of getting rid of it for a good few years. The last game I bought was Final Fantasy XII, which is fantastic. Can someone tell me a bit more about Shadow Of The Collosus and God Of War. I've been tempted by SOTC a few times when Ive seen it, and GoW2 has just come out.

I'm actually having a bit of luck capturing the cut scenes using the emulator and a screen recorder, but I could do with some of the gameplay, so if you'd like to capture a complete run through that would help a lot
fair play to you for giving the guy the benefit of the doubt Adywan, but some of us who've been here a bit longer have seen his type before, hence my never-faltering scepticism and sarcasm. RemixerBoss is just another Zigfried
