LOST - daveytod edit
Time

posted about this over at FE, but I thougth I’d cut n paste a few bits of info over here too:

Hi all,

I’ve just begun jamming on a possible edit of Lost. Now I freaking LOVE this show…its TV porn as far as I’m concerned, and as the the last season has progressed I havent been able to stop thinking about editing eveything together in chronological order, flashbacks, flashforwards, the main island story, the lot.

I’ve made a start, and instantly I can tell that its not gonna be pretty. Lots of hard cuts and audio issues. And secondly, its gonna be very long, so I dont know how I’m gonna break it down, but like I said I’m only just playing around with it at the moment so we’l see how it pans out

my current plan, having done the first season, is to continue until season 5 has been released and incorportated and then release in in hourly episodes, most likely as avi files, to serve as a complete catch up to the final season. As i said, I’ve done the first season, using various fansite timelines, and its actually really interesting. Can’t wait to to start on season 2!

BTW I forgot to mention that I’m gonna be including all deleted scenes, deleted flashbacks, webisodes and possibly ARG footage

ok so ive hit my first snag (of many I presume), my season 1 boxset is region 2 but seasons 2 & 3 are region 1 (cheaper to buy from the US than here in the UK), and therefore NTSC. I’ve ripped the first disc of S2 but when I drag it into womble all i get is audio and no sound.

do i need to somehow convert the discs from NTSC to PAL or is there an easy way around this?

good old womble…i simply started a new project and imported the NTSC vobs, then exported them as a mpeg to use in my original project file…works a treat!!

and for those of you who are Lost fans, I tell you, this projects getting me excited! and I’m doing my best not to even spoil myself as I work lol, but theres some really interesting connections to be made whilst putting it all in order

And unfortunatly my quick n easy NTSC-PAL conversion in Womble hasn’t been as useful as I’d hoped, with some serious audio issues, so I’m still working on that one.

Other news, season 1 is practically done n dusted. All the deleted scenes and flashbacks fom the DVD boxset have been inserted into their proper places, although I’m missing the deleted scenes from the US releases of ‘The Lost Chronicles’ book with bonus DVD and the Best Buy Bonus DVD (searching for these though). I’ve also included the season 1-centric webisodes. As I’ve mentioned, this will be a warts-n-all edit, with less worrying about matching footage and more emphasis on the chronological aspect.

By the way, with the work done so far I’m clocking in at 17 and a half hours, so if you use that estimate for each season this whole edit could potentially run at 85 hours!!! So distrubution methods are still being considered and I’m open to ideas or suggestions…

Idea: Star Wars Games Preservation
Time
figured it was about time I chimed in here. The 'Battlefront - Journal of the 501st', 'Episode III - The Video Game Movie' and 'Star Wars Interactive Board Game DVD' were all mine, but I'm not surprised that the torrents are dead. I might pop them up on Demonoid but my seeding capabilities arn't the best.

RE: Shadows Of The EMpire, I've got all the material I need bar the N64 still cutscenes, I just couldnt find a way to capture them

I'm always at work on a movie of 'The Clone Wars' from the PS2/Gamecube with footage captured by another member of the forum, but work is going fairly slowly due to other commitments. It's going to be in the same vein as my previous releases, cutscenes interspersed with minimal gameplay to provide a complete storyline

Resident Evil Zero (Released)
Time
Hi all,

Well, here it is "Resident Evil 0 - The Movie". Many thanks to Boon for some last minute pacing advice and brainstorming.

This is just the download link for the avi file (423 mb). Although I have finalised a full DVD version which includes the in game files, a trailer and a gallery, I'm going to hold off on releasing it for now. My larger plan is to do this for all the games and while I havent yet played the Outbreak games or Umbrella Chronicles, the nature of these spin-offs mean they might have footage I can include in the main game movies.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this movie.....and as ever, feedback is welcome
