LOST: In The Detail. Chronological edit. Completed 10 years ago but never shared in full....until now (Released)
Time

Well, hopefully (thanks to some good advice from theslime at fanedit.org) we're back on track with regards to quality. I have re-encoded my first release (episode 3 of season 0) following a new method, and the resulting file should (hopefully) be of better quality than the original release.

I would really appreciate some feedback on teh quality of this video, as I'm reluctant to start re-encoding the other episodes until I'm sure that the quality is acceptable. So if you already downloaded the original release, please check this one out for comparison, or if you're new to 'LOST - In The Detail' then its a perfect time to join the ride.

check out my blog at

for release info

LOST: In The Detail. Chronological edit. Completed 10 years ago but never shared in full....until now (Released)
Time

I've updated my blog with episode 5 of season zero of 'LOST - In The Detail'.

In this episode the Dharma Initiative capture an unco-operative hostile, young Ben Linus is badly injured, and Juliet and new recruit Kate make a dangerous journey to see the Others.

I understand that there have been several other projects doing very similar things with putting LOST in order, and some of you may be reluctant to commit to another rewatch of the whole show, but I like to feel that mine is different due to the inclusion of deleted scenes, mobisodes and the editing of the time travel aspect of it, and I'd love you guys to give it a shot

The ones you've mentioned are episodes 3 and 4.  1 & 2 will be the jacob and richard-centric episodes.  These will be released once I have the S6 boxset, but I wanted to get the ball rolling and start releasing what I've already done.

I've updated the blog with the release of episode 4 - 1974-1977

i think we're on the same wavelength.  my first to episodes will be jacoband the man in black and then a richard episode.  after that if goes straight to the 1950.  I've included all of our heroes time in the past, but I've tried to remove any references to a future. So for example, jack, Kate and hurley really have come in on the dharma sub etc etc. obviously the full story won't be revealed until you watch season 5!

after seeing jswert123;s post about his LOST edit, I figured I’d better chime in with mine.

ALthough it’s been a current topic on fe for a whle, I always meant to bring it here, but life has got in the way of my internet unfortunaly.

my aim was not only to put every flashback in chronological order, but also to include every deleted scene, as well as ‘intermissions’, ie various media that ass to the whole LOST mythology.

Bar the final season, the work is done. All my episodes have been finished, its just a case of exporting the last 20 or so from womble.  I havent cropped, or tried to get rid of the credits, but having rewatched it through myself, as a fan of the show, I can honestly say it made no difference.  I followed the story, not the editing.

but as I mentioned in the other thread, the episodes I have exported sp far, plus intermissions, come to 50GB, so I’m in a quandy about how to release it.  Although the average episode is about a 750 mb avi, a handful of them are 1gb plus, and if theres a filehosting site thant handles over 1gb, then I haven’t found it yet.

LOST: CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (My First Post) (Released)
Time

I've already completed such an edit. in fact the reason why I popped online tonight was to promote it.  It's all done bar the final season (obviously I'm waiting for the DVD release)

I'm no saying this to piss on your bonfire. I wish you nothing but luck in your endeavour, but be warned....it will eat up up A LOT of hard drive space!

also, a quick check of my hard drive has revealed that my current episode count out of 53 (I've been a bit slack on exporting them from womble) = 49 GB!

Idea: Star Wars Games Preservation

we have a breakthrough.......having hunted for ages for the correct leads to connect my N64 to the TV with no avail, I was having a hunt through my box of leads n miscellania when I realised the connecter for the gamecube was the same shape as the N64. Whack it in, plug into the back of the TV and hey presto! N64 Shadows Of The Empire Great Goodness!!

Of course, every silver lining has a cloud. I've not had much time to spend on it but the little time I have had has been interrupted by the unit resetting itself after 5 minutes or so gameplay. I'm hoping the unit just needs a clean and am about to research opening up an N64.

To be continued..........

Myself, i aint ever had a problem playing back NTSC disks in PAL land (as i have the US season 1 import), so i guess it depends on your player.

I wish it was that easy, its actually having both NTSC and PAL sources together in the same editing program thats causing the problems

I don't mean to sound negative here but If we'd need to invest that much time onto watching it then why not simply watch the original episodes?

Its just an new perspective...I've already watched all the episodes as they aired, watching this will provide a fresh insight as I go into the final season

Does this mean you are going to begin the story before the characters arrive at Sydney airport?

Yep, the project currentley opens with young Jack getting beaten up, but I've only done season 1...the earliest flashback to date is John Locke being born...which will be a very interesting opening if some of my theories about the show are right
