Reddit leaks always make me a little suspicious but the Tarkin one sounds the most legit in accordance with what we saw in one of the trailers and the films ridiculously large CGI budget.

OMG! These last clips have restored all my hope for this movie! I am so hyped! The trust clip and that new trailer featuring the new score was simply breathtaking.
When Jedis die they can reappear as visions to the people they knew. Why is that a concept that needs further analysis?
Because when Jedi’s die they don’t usually show up as ghosts otherwise there would be nothing special about it. It was Qui-gon first. Then Obi-wan and then Yoda. and then Anakin.
No other Jedi was able to achieve becoming a force ghost. But it had to do with the special teachings of Qui-gon which he had learned and passed on his knowledge. Otherwise there would be millions of Force ghost Jedi floating about.
It has nothing to do with being a Jedi.

I adore the colors of ESB 2.0 and consider them to be PERFECT, so I must say that the colors of 2.5 are a little dissapointing. It feels like a bit too much color has been sucked out of the picture. The increase in quality though is really awesome and what I’v seen so far is incredibly promising 😃 Thanks again Harmy!
People are going to be surprised by who the Force sensitive character is in this film.

The only “problem” I have with the clip is that it seems Jyn is a pretty capable combatant which means the premature Mary Sue claims will pop up again.

They already have, criticizing the fact that her comrade’s (If there’s one thing I’m bad at, it’s names) just staring while she kicks butt and how that’s a sign that feminism’s gone too far or something.
I can understand if somehow ALL of the other crew members (Droid excluded obviously) are inept and Jyn is the only competent one but we’ve already seen Magic Stick Man in action briefly along with the long haired guy who killed like Troopers in seconds so what the fuck?

At the end of Felicity Jones’ interview with Jimmy Fallon tonight they played what I’m fairly certain is the first clip we’ve seen of the movie. It’s from the shootout with the stormtroopers in the Mos Eisleyesque location. Giacchino’s music is very recognizable. My brain lit up with excitement.
I’m sure it’ll be up online soon if it isn’t already.

From the start I had zero problems with Kylo’s saber. It looked unique and badass.
Some shots are iffy but I must say, this is really beautiful! Maybe refine it a bit more and post it on Myspleen? I’d love to have a color corrected Grindhouse and yours really looks fantastic! I love the increased saturation 😃

I consider the Lord of the Rings Blu Ray Set to be the gold standard for commentaries. Each film had 4 commentaries. Director/Writers, Pre/Post Production Teams, Design Team and the Cast. It’s amazing!

- A complete screening with the audio tracks for Jar Jar and Nass, but not for another week or two.
I’m having a lot of issues with the audio for these two characters, which is the main reason I took some time off of working on this edit (I was just tired of dealing with it and needed a break). I just can’t seem to get it right.
If you’re cool with the lack of gungan voices, I could have a screening ready in the next couple of days, just for you to preview everything else while I figure out what to do about them.
Thoughts?
I’d definitely rather have option two, we can wait a few weeks for a more complete cut and I’m sure you’ll want feedback on the gungan voices as well.

This TV Spot really pissed me off. It’s as if they tried to cram in all the jokes of the movie into one trailer. There could have been some really crowd pleasing moments but they spoil us in the trailer. And some of the humor shown with K-2SO fell really flat for me. This is beginning to feel less and less like a unique war movie.

In the thread I said that to you, the guy you were responding to simply said that he liked ROTJ as much as the other movies and you responded in a sarcastic jackass manner, as you always do. He didn’t say anything to disparage you or your opinions. His opinion was expressed politely and it was a positive, not negative, opinion. He didn’t deserve your bullshit. This guy on the other hand went on the attack by saying something was “atrocious,” so if you ask me he opened himself up for my dismissal, which was still less dickish than yours.
Look, I know you think you’re some kind of comic genius or something, but you’re actually just another asshole on the internet. You’re maybe 1% as funny as you think you are. If you toned it down a notch and used your “wit” sparingly, instead of literally every post you make, that would be fine. Instead you feel the need to demonstrate how “clever” you are at all times, which gets extremely old extremely quickly. And I can only imagine how many people it has driven away from this site, because it confirms the impression that it’s dominated by the Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons.

I liked the original. It was really creepy and made the empire leadership look like some sort of other-worldly non-human evil mechanized hell.
