I do think that Fo had intentions of clearing up some confusion on the rules but it did kind of turn into “lets pick on warb”. No problem for me considering that I do think Jetrell has proven he is obviously guilty of back seat modding but reporting his posts would probably be a smarter way of going around it.

You would be correct. I only wanted to clear up the confusion. The posts of warblers I chose were because of his “warning” post and then his open frustration posts about the mods not responding to his open complaints. Nothing more. It’s the comments of others in-between that turned the intention of this thread in to something it isn’t.

You have made it very clear of Warb’s backseat modding and if you do have an issue then I would recommend just reporting and taking it directly to the mods. Same intention of this thread but I think it is probably a better idea. No worries though, I don’t think you meant to just come in and rip on someone. Again, I just think that direct contact with a mod might have worked better.

Beauty and the Beast

I actually ended up really enjoying myself. Found it to be a little slow at some points but a lot of the music was really fun and I came to really care for all the characters. A fun ride overall.

I enjoyed the production quality, but would you agree it’s a mistake to cast actors who can’t sing as leading roles in a musical?

This definetly was a negative for me. I think Emma did fine for the most part but there was definetly some lines that were not hit well at all and stuck out to me. The mother teapot’s singing of “Tale as Old as Time” was the one song I thought was done justice. I do agree though that there are many factors that keep it from great and not just good. I also wished more practical effects were used. More and more, everything is just feeling fake. And I’m not sure why but I feel like I was more scared of the beast in the animated feature then in the live action movie.

I’m probably reading way too much into this, but I was over at blu-ray.com just now and noticed the “best deals” at the top of the page has the complete saga set listed for $58.49. That’s the lowest I can remember any retailer selling it for in quite a long time, maybe ever.

We’re less than three weeks away from this celebration panel. If an announcement is imminent, maybe they’re trying to clear out inventory before people stop buying it altogether and start saving their money for the new set?

Yeah. I think I paid $60-70 during the after Christmas sales when it was first released. But since then most sales have been around $80. Best Buy has also discounted it to $73, which is pretty low.

I got the entire set from an ebay buyer for around 35 dollars and it was brand new and sealed.

If the Darth Vader on the slip cover has any space above his head, it’s a bootleg. Little FYI because eBay is FLOODED with bootleg Star Wars DVDs and Blu Rays

Using this new rule of thumb I think I now can already distinguish fake from real:

Low Price REAL Set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-The-Complete-Saga-Blu-ray-Disc-2011-9-Disc-Set-Boxed-Set-/201802729322?hash=item2efc61476a:g:xUYAAOSwA3dYkX0L

Low Price BOOTLEG Set: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Star-Wars-The-Complete-Saga-Blu-ray-2011-9-Disc-Boxed-Set-NEW-SEALED-/132127540444?hash=item1ec36a44dc:g:JgcAAOSwuLZY1Fpm

I got fleeced on a fake set once. The discs were obviously burned single layered BDs with crappily printed art on them.

That sounds awful! Sorry to hear that you got screwed over like that.

I would prefer physical media. When I said purchase I mean the cost of the media, a persons time and the cost of postage.

I’m pretty sure this is still prohibited.

I’m curious if it is. I feel as if I read somewhere that it is NEVER ok to pay for the fanedit itself but it is okay to pay for postage and cost of discs/cases. Nothing seems wrong to me there. Your just reimbursing a person for the supplies and effort of getting it to you. No money for the fanedit itself. Not taking a definitive side but just curious.

Also, I think it’s pretty clear DE is on the same page as you there.

I don’t. He was one of two instigators which prompted my post.

Are you referring to this?

I don’t know, I’d probably rather watch Home Alone 2 than TFA.

Is your taste in film that poor?

If so, I’d like to make it clear that I didn’t know MFM was being serious with that statement; I thought he was making fun of me. So I figured I’d indirectly insult myself – resort to self-deprecating humour in a roundabout manner – as a way of showing there were no hard feelings.

I grow to appreciate you more and more Duracell.

I’m too thin in the arms. I hate showing them in public because they look unhealthy.

Make good fun at yourself, not this. Be proud of being you, warts and all, so to speak.

Being another person with really skinny arms I must say that I am not proud of them LOL. Nor should I be content with them. I’m starting to workout more often to hopefully feel a little better about myself 😃

Can you provide evidence to support your claim that a majority of this forum hates the new movies?

Asking for that is like asking for Chic Fil-A sandwiches to rain from the sky. I would love nothing more than for that to happen but such a thing will never come to pass.

Time to head to Chick-fil-a.

Clearly unfounded concerns. They were never going to mar her final performance by cutting it up or altering it. The only tasteful way to handle this is to acknowledge her loss at the start of IX.

Though nervous to the idea at first, I think I would rather have a recast. We’re already recasting Han Solo so it’s not as crazy as it seems and I think that Carrie Fisher would want her story to be finished.
