So WaPo is reporting that Trump is under investigation by Mueller for possible obstruction of justice, and there’s also a report that Trump floated the idea of firing Mueller publicly in order to influence Mueller to go easy on the investigation.

Amazing.

I hope he does fire Mueller it will add ammunition to the case.

Same. It would be very amusing to see Trumps idiocy really punish him in the case. I still can’t believe some of these stories as well Frink.

Some of you will remember sometime back when I unexpectedly got my dream job working for the Mental Health Foundation.
Well I’ve been feeling a bit glum recently.
Trying to get the manager of the charity I’m seconded to applying for continuance funding has been a real struggle and I thought I would have to just close our service down despite it being very successful.
We have had two events and a film which we have had to organise for a couple of months and today was the big one for me. The events organiser was dreading it. Expecting it to poorly attended. I hate public speaking so the thought of doing it over two days is my idea of hell.
Well it was packed and the film went down really well and all the questions and the feedback were really positive. Two major funders seem very keen and I may have another extention to my contract while we wait for the results.
I’m really buzzing with excitement but also totally knocked out and tired (the stress has been playing havok on my sleep patterns) so in short not exactly great news yet but I feel much more optimistic than this time last week.

Congratulations! That sounds amazing and must feel pretty cathartic 😃 I wish you the best and am sure you’ll continue to do great.

Sounds like the guy who tried to shoot up the GOP baseball team was a liberal nutjob.

This sucks. I hope everyone makes a full recovery.

Also, Mr Hodgkinson, thanks for giving the Republicans years of ammunition with which to pillory Democrats.

Very true. But of course this happens on both sides. Cherrypicking of specific incidents to support a narrative. Fox and places like Vox do this all the time to promote a narrative. Which is precisely why I feel that large number statistics are a lot more useful and effective in getting to the bottom of an issue.

Kind of got off track there but really hope everyone has a strong recovery.

I don’t consider Batman Returns a Batman film as much as I consider it a Burton film, but I still love it way more than any of the Nolan movies.

I have no idea why anyone would think that. I think Batman Returns is terrible. Batman tricked into taking it easy on Catwoman because “I’m a woman!”‽‽‽‽ Seriously‽ The Danny Devito’s Penguin just isn’t an effect villain. Nor is Max Shrek. I can easily watch Batman Begins and TDK and even TDKR over and over again. I have no desire to ever watch Batman Returns ever again.

Agreed. I really enjoy Batman 89 but found Returns was really not that good. I do recognize that it receives a lot of love however.

The Alamo is not shutting out men from every screening, just a few. A man who wants to see the movie at the Alamo still has every opportunity to do so.

i don’t understand why anyone could have a reasonable complaint against one or two women-only screenings…

I mean, really? present an argument that is something more than whining, i can’t think of any. I mean, I don’t really give a crap since I still have every opportunity to see it again and again if I want to but I don’t see the need. Not letting someone go to a screening of a movie because of their gender just sounds unneeded.

REDACTED.

And if I’m not mistaken these are new too:

As it pertains to the Gorilla Walkers I have to see them in action because they could be menacing in the way that the AT-AT’s aren’t. Still would be somewhat of a rehash though.

I should have made it clear that I was speaking about the Force Awakens and not the sequel trilogy as a whole (my bad). But yah, episode 8 seems to be really upping the game on the designs! I’m pretty thrilled to see what Rian has in store for us 😃

Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith - (2005)

Decided to watch this again, and screw it, I actually like it a lot. This time around I didn’t mind the dialogue or acting, and I adored the music, action scenes, and cinematography. I also really enjoyed watching it. I know I’ll get hounded for this, but I give it a seven out of ten.

You ain’t crazy. I actually REALLY love watching fanedited ROTS.

These gorilla walkers remind me that when it comes to designs, the sequel trilogy REALLY has lacked in creativity. Max Landis made a great point about how even in the OT, we had Y-Wings, TIE Bombers, TIE Interceptors, etc. In the prequels we got a load of new ships. Far different than the OT but I really appreciated them from a purely visual perceptive. Even Rogue One introduced a new ship and made sure to include Y-Wings. And they made a new type of TIE Fighter.

The Force Awakens literally had TIE fighters and X-Wings. That is literally it. Very lame in my opinion. The resistance ships on Crait seem really new and unique though so that excites me! 😃

I have been up and down on the DC universe quite a bit. Thought Wonder Woman was FINE but not nearly as good as Guardians of the Galaxy 2. My ranking of the DCEU is as follows:

  1. Man of Steel (Very unpopular opinion but I absolutely adore this movie)
  2. Wonder Woman (Pretty good flick that I left the theatre being quite satisfied with)

…6 feet of shit…

  1. BvS/Suicide Squad (awful narrative structure, no coherent message, just awful. But they each had ONE good thing. BvS had batfleck and SS had Will Smith doing his thing)

I’d like to really apologize for the brash response. I was having just an awful day and that was totally uncool in every stretch of the imagination. Very sorry for the rudeness Tantive. Please don’t feel bad. I was being an inexcusable asshole.

SHUT…THE…HELL…UP. You don’t think Adywan will update us when necessary and that he is working his ass off? Just quit it with your pestering.
