And it’s a Star Wars movie. It’s honestly one of the stupidest complaints I have heard about the Last Jedi.

Teh lady haz purple hair!

While that is an entirely inconsequential thing to complain about, and also a stupid reason to not like the movie, if I had my way, the purple hair would be gone.

Pink Floyd is so good!

I don’t get it.

it’s a joke from the other thread where darthrush didn’t get a Queen reference and thought it was Pink Floyd or something.

I didn’t think it was Pink Floyd, I just thought it was a general remark not related to a song, and then I brought music into it.

But yes, I am slow.

EDIT: Nevermind, a guitar riff was mentioned in the original post, I am actually very slow.

I’ve got to say that it does sound a bit harsh to deny the opportunity of life to someone who might grow up in hard conditions. Is it better that they never lived or to give them a shot despite the chances of being miserable?

One could use that sort of logic to conclude that using birth control is immoral. After all, what if your parents had used birth control? Then you wouldn’t have had a chance at life.

Good point.

I guess it really all comes back to the issue of when does a life truly begin. And to that, I do not know. Any time I define a point along the development of a human, I always feel unsure.

Right. This is why I prefer that laws on this follow scientific opinion rather than religious opinion.

Agreed.

Episode IX: The Rise Of Skywalker - Discussion * SPOILER THREAD *
Time

Yeah but it still doesn’t change that Luke dying did not benefit the sequel trilogy, as it is now. I can see having Luke die if Leia is the focus of episode 9 but obviously that is not an option anymore. They could have easily let Luke live with the existing footage. Even faneditors can do it, so why not a major studio.

Imagine ending with Luke staring at the sunsets, him fulfilled, back in the fight, and we cut to credits as we look forward to his role in episode 9.

Just my own take and I used to like the fact that he died so I totally see where people are coming from.
