The Joint Commission came to our hospital yesterday and the day before.  For those who don't know, this is an accreditation organization that can shut hospitals down for not conforming to high safety standards

They inspected other parts of the hospital, but our floor was especially targeted due to its new integration into the hospital, and this was our first survey by the Joint Commission.  Normally our director would handle this, but she had to leave the day before the semi-surprise inspection for a family emergency, leaving...me!...in charge of representing our floor.

The inspection went extremely well.  I had to go to several meetings with the highest folks in the hospital and the Joint Commission surveyors.  Yesterday, during the final "wrap up" meeting where all findings were noted, the surveyor of my floor, after noting a few minor things that could use improvement, stated, "darth_ender* really represented the behavioral health floor.  He was creative and took initiative and researched suggestions I had made the first and brought ideas to me today [as in yesterday].  Look out for him; he is a rising star."

I couldn't help but blush hearing all these things in front of so many important people, and I received many congratulations afterward.  It was very rewarding and made me feel great.  But more important than my personal ego, it's great to know that our floor is providing so well for our patients.  It was a surprisingly great experience.

Good luck, but bear in mind that if it doesn't work out, this sort of thing can simply give you the motivation to find another job.  I don't mean to be a downer, but I know that work has been a challenge for you to find.  Now you've got your resume up to speed, and since often the one job we apply for doesn't work out, you can submit your resume elsewhere and hopefully find work.

That said, I hope this one particular job works out, since you obviously feel it would be a good fit.  Good luck!

I believe some additional scenes were included since the DVD release of Star Trek VI, and I don't think the theatrical version is available anymore.

Well, this computer was a blessing, super fast, no problems with Windows 8 (aside from the fact that it is actually inferior to Windows 7).  Now that I've upgraded, it appears my hardware may not be up to the task for the speed I like. :(

I see generalfrievous made his trademark foray into the forums again: pop in for one or two days, make several outrageous statements, don't stick around long enough to read any rational responses, and continue living a life of confusion.

Yay!  I've been checking every day!

 Not many, but seatbelts were not a universal thing till later.  Over time I imagine this will become more and more commonplace.

Well congrats.  I'm sorry you've been going through such a hard time, but I'm glad you've managed to find work.  It's amazing what work can do for self esteem.  You really deserve it.

Sorry man, lately I've just been so busy.  Knowing that we won't finish is a little discouraging, since I know we won't finish in time.  I can save our game as is, and then email you a copy when you are available back in your other province of frozen tundra if you like.

That works.  I will contact you about this game when you get where you are going. Sorry I've been so busy.  I've been working extra shifts and I hardly can get online on my own computer.
