How about a game of Japanese Chess, i.e. Shogi? Now playing Shogi4

R-2e check

Well, if your dad indeed does have that VirtualBox or something similar installed on his computer, I encourage you to check out Steve Evans' ShogiVar.  It plays many of the games you might otherwise have a hard time getting access to.  I also have a couple of other programs you might be interested in.  I can send you an email, or perhaps upload them to a sharing site (they're pretty small).  One is a three player variant and one is a four player variant.

It makes it fun, IMO.  It just goes to show how much complexity can be put into shogi based games.  Soon I will teach you a variant I designed that is very unique in nature, if you're still interested by that point.  It has some unique geometry and would be a terrible game for a chess variant, but it works out rather well for shogi, I believe.

Anyway, S*3d.  The more this game progresses, the more I value the knight above what I value them in regular shogi.  Though they only have access to two squares each move, their unique move is impossible to block and has a far and unique reach, making them a threat in such close quarters to all pieces, even rooks and bishops.

I know, I'm rambling a lot.  There is a fantastic program called shogivar that was programmed back in the late 90s.  Sadly, it doesn't work on 64 bit operating systems like I'm running (Windows 7).  However, I discovered another amazing bit of software called VirtualBox that allows me to emulate other operating systems.  It's truly amazing.  Right now I'm running XP within Windows 7, and I've just installed a few shogi programs including shogivar that no longer work.  Very cool stuff!  It makes me happy to see these old bits of software working again.  What operating system are you using?

Yeah, I'm detecting a lot of that around here.  It's not even worth joining the discussion with so little time available.  Honestly, it seems like the atheists here are basing their arguments on far too many false dichotomies, and seem to think that philosophically they've proven why I shouldn't believe in God.  Poor arguments, I'm afraid.  Not worth the time when I have so little at present.

(I'm not misspelling any words).

Hey, his argument may be awful, but at least he didn't misspell anything.

OBI-WAN37 said:

And the climatic duel on mustafar!

Well, anyone could spell climactic as climatic--heck, maybe he was referring to the warm climate in which the duel took place, right?  Of course, he missed capitalizing several words (such as proper names and the beginnings of sentences within quotes), improperly formed a sentence out of a dependent clause (see the second quote), and created lengthy sentences filled with commas where we should have periods and new sentences.  Too bad there are other spots where he should have put commas but neglected to do so.  His grammar is poor, his syntax improper (such as incorrect subject-verb agreement), and his supporting evidence incorrect.  For instance, no real volcanoes were filmed for Episode III.  I see no need to even address the actual substance of the argument for two reasons: 1) unless he can present it more effectively, it is not really worth debating; 2) everyone else who reads this thread will tear his argument to shreds anyway.

And there could be a third reason: because it's Sam.

(Actually, I don't know for sure that's true--I think I've turned into a modern-day McCarthy, suspecting everyone of subversive Sam-unist activities.  Please don't ban me for my juvenile speculation.)

I think I misunderstood your intent.  When you said you'd take your second option, I thought you must have meant that you didn't want to take back your move, but instead hoped to counter mine.  Now I think you must have meant that such was your second choice of move.  If that is correct, I played the game through as you intend, and now I play S-5d
