I thought the donators were already getting the laserdisc rip of the originals you provided a sample of earlier? So the 1997 SE broadcasts are now also exclusive to donators too?

I am only going to say this 1 more time, I am not 100% sure yet, my whole deal was the ESB IE project with ABC and the GOUT V3, nothing else was ever set in stone anyways, plus I am not an uploading machine LOL, and those waiting on Paradox, well I do not use those file sharing companies like RS, HF, etc. I do not have a premium account and I do not want AvPee uploading it either, I really do not care for that glory hound POS anyways, so if and when these are OK'd by my testers they will be most likely be @ a.b.starwars but if I do torrent them, they will be at spleen, so let's just get them out and tested first OK? this is ALOT of DVD's to upload, plus some want the PCM tracks I did, well all of them are a ton of GB's as well.

I did not do much to the 97 DV Broadcasts, and these to are far from perfect, some scenes look really bad, but others look really good, but I did sync DE's very nice 97 SE LD 5.1 audio to them, which sounds sweet by the way, and the V3 and ESB IE are the only sets that are guaranteed to be uploaded(ESB IE is already available)some of these might end up being bonuses for the guys that sent Verbatims in a time of need LOL, we will see.

Hopefully, I'll be able to check out that custom DVD, nocomment87. It sounds interesting. Also, I know it's an old post, but, Dark Jedi, does this file sync readily to the newest DVD release or does a delay need to be inputted?

Like I said above, I made it for the Blu-ray, why would anyone want the DVD when we have Blu now, so I don't think it will sync to that.

This set is so screwed up but to my eyes it looks a lot better than the DC or Faces when it is in motion.  If anyone finds a bulletproof way to IVTC this thing automatically please let me know :).

You are absolutely right this set is SCREWED up, but a lot of people seem to really like it, me not so much, and the ONLY sure fire way to IVTC this is to do it manually, I have tried a ton of auto IVTC filters and NONE will do it all correctly, some come close, but not close enough.

ADM's guide does work, and why not just use the latest regular VirtualDub, it works just fine, and I have Windows 7 Pro 64, you must be doing something wrong or missing a step, I learned editing with his guide and I can confirm that it will work.

You need to install this

http://neuron2.net/dgmpgdec/dgmpgdec.html

and as Moth3r stated, you set to "force film", don't listen to Darth Mallcrawler, it does and will work just fine, this is how we all do it, this will give you your .d2v file and then you are good to go.

Hi Guys.  I've been an avid reader of this forum since about 2007 I guess.  This is my first post because it's maybe the first time I've had an idea that might be worth posting.  I'm sure some of you guys know this already but I haven't seen it mentioned in arnie's or dark_jedi's JSC threads.

I have a cld-hf9g and the JSC trilogy which I've been trying to capture and encode but I have run into the same problem as everyone else.  The IVTC is very hard to get right.

I've noticed however that the frame counter on the laserdisc player is displaying frames at 24 fps/sec.  I did a little reading around and found this page.  According to this if you use freeze frame on a cav disc it will ignore the pulldown flags and display the frames progressively at 24fps, albeit one by one.  It seems like a colossal undertaking to capture the whole movie frame by frame but maybe it's the best way?  Maybe with a laserdisc player that accepts rs-232 commands it would be possible to write a script to increment the frames and take snapshots of them.

I could be mistaken about all of this so if it's garbage someone feel free to let me know.

The manual IVTC is a bitch, but I personally would MUCH rather do that then grab each frame individually, screw that, if you have the patience to do that, more power to you and good luck, I have already manually IVTC'd the entire Trilogy and have all the Japanese subtitles gone, so now I can do with it whatever I want.

again, good luck on your project.

This project sounds alright, but this is just a custom DVD, I really don't care about opening and ending logo's, but I do care to have the Theatrical audio, and all the extras are already easily available, I prefer my custom made\encoded theatrical DTS-HD MA 5.1 Theatrical audio with the Blu-ray picture that I did myself, why go DVD when we have Blu now, who knows.
