Conan The Barbarian 1982 US Theatrical Edition & BONUS! *RELEASED*
Time

Audials does not work, it only captures in 720, or I just can't figure out how to use it, and GetFLV does not work either.

but this project is going forward, I am going to make a Theatrical version of this, I just really hope I can find a way to edit the existing DTS-HD MA audio I just fixed on the Blu-ray to fit, but I do need something to make this happen(hopefully) does anyone have this German release of the Theatrical version?

http://www.amazon.de/Conan-Barbar-Special-Arnold-Schwarzenegger/dp/B000139QJC/ref=sr_1_1?s=dvd&ie=UTF8&qid=1316617627&sr=1-1

if so, please PM me.

1 more thing, as much as I like to think I know everything about this movie, I do not, so can anyone verify if the only differences between the Theatrical and International is the scene with Conan and Subotai( the Spring Wind talk lol) and the ending?

I have been googling for info for a while now and can't find anything concrete lol, does anyone know if Conan The Barbarian is streamed in 1080P or 720P? also does it have 2.0 or 5.1 for audio? and at what frame rate does Netflix stream their HD files?

Thanks

I am going to figure out a way to get this one way or another lol, there just has to be a way.

LOL, I already know this, that is what I am going to try and do, I was just wondering if any of the, I will call them "bad elements" were still there is all, I am all for going forward and letting bygones be bygones, hell now that all my SW projects are done, I may go back to doing some editing again, lol, not to sure about that though.

One of them being me. You helped me a ton on my first fanedit, and I've always appreciated that.

I remember you reave, you also gave me the invite to Cinematik, I never had issues with you, we were always cool, it was just boon and most of his cronies, but if it is different now then it sounds interesting again, hell I used to be a mod there to until all the shit went down and some, won't mention any names, started acting like frickin idiots, it was all that that actually made me not want to do anymore Fan Edits anymore, because I actually have not done any since then.

So is boon and his crew all gone from there now? and the place is under new management? who are the admins and mods there now? no offense, I am just curious if it is any better than it was a few years ago.

I already know from the OP that reave is an Admin, so that is cool, I don't think he was there when all the shit went down with boon and his cronies, but if it is all new now, maybe it is time to start over then.

dark_jedi,

Have you seen Harmy's 720p versions? How would you say your BluRays stack up with his version, video-wise?

I'm sure Harmy and DJ are best equipped to answer this, but isn't this comparison like between apples and oranges? I mean the source of the two are completely/totally different. One tries to modernise an old source, while the other works from the other direction.. no?

I don't know if it's really apples-to-oranges; I get what you're saying, but they're both 720p versions of the Original Trilogy, regardless of how they got there. Sure, Harmy left some changes in, so its not unaltered and you can't compare frame by frame. I'm wondering how DJ (or anyone that has seen them) feels his Blu Ray versions stack up. I was always under the impression that it doesn't really help going from 480p to 720p, as no detail is/can be gained by simply upconverting.. Maybe I'm wrong. Just wondering :)

LOL, yes it is, as I have said several times, this Set is not for everyone, if you already have preconceived notions of the quality then then just don't grab it when it is available, and this question has already been answered by Harmy and myself.

sorry for sounding a little bitter but this question bothers me, if you have read about Harmy's projects and my posts here, you would have already known the answer to this question.

Don't suggest that people watch them on the blu-ray discs. It's distasteful.

There's nothing wrong with buying the Blu-ray discs.  It's a personal choice.

Okay...you've either been under a rock, or are intentionally ignorant of the controversy surrounding the blu-ray releases (and the subsequent boycott) or you're just a troll. In which case I fell for your trap by replying to your idiotic post...

...dammit.

I agree with Frink on this, and it is showing more and more that you are a troll, why can't you just accept you do not want them and leave it alone? others may want them for whatever reason, but it is their reason, not yours.

Moth3rs term "nutjob" is very fitting around here lately for some.

So myself, Adywan, and others here are ignorant huh? another newbie to the forum here spewing shit to all of us that have been here for years, friggin unbelievable.

Here come the attacks and cussing again. And saying people should get in line or GTFO - sounds familiar....

No one is saying "get in line" but some of the crap that spews from your fingers & others is pretty damn dumb to say the least.

Please elaborate what crap I've spewed. Honestly, I don't understand your hate for my posting, there are far more extreme opinions on this site.

No, your "use" of the blu-rays doesn't bother me. I asked in order to change the subject in a polite way. Nice assumption, though!

I know there are some more radical(or I actually prefer "nutjobs" LOL) posters here besides you, but LOL every time I happened to check this thread(which I still do not know why I do) it always happens to be you posting, so maybe I should change my timing, at least you don't throw around the whole "death" thing like a few others here, now those new members are definitely "nutjobs", and I don't care how politely they think they are talking about it, because it is just not cool at all.

I looked over in the Blu Ray and HD cover thread and couldn't find them .. Dark Jedi do you have a link to either the v3 or blu ray cover arts?

ALL covers are included with the projects, they are not shared by themselves, so if you have the V3 DVD Set, you already have the covers in the DVD_ROM folder, and the Blu-ray Set is not released so why do you need those covers? they will be released when the BD Set gets released, I find no need to share the artwork if the BD's are not available.

What do the rest of you guys think about the project idea???!!!!???!!!!????

Well you already admitted you have no skill to do the work, but you want to be a co-manager\leader, so what do you think the answer is?

These kind of projects take a lot of time, and is a lot of work for 1 guy, believe me, some of us know very well how much time goes into these projects, and people would want a working partner, not a manager\leader.

OH, believe me I know you are NOT the only one, there are definitely others here to, and there are threads here on boycotting and making stickers and such LOL.

DAMN, I miss the old OT, OH well, once I am finished with stuff, then I can be finished, I can't wait, who knows maybe once this whole Blu-ray release blows over some of the(I am going to steal this name from another member here) "nutjobs" will leave.

I personally don't give a shit who is buying and who is not, I just don't understand why the same person has to say it over and over again, I think it is very clear who is who in this thread, LOL why do I keep coming into this fracking thread! this one is damn near as messed up as the SW thread at blu-ray.com

You know thinking on this more, it does seem to get really crazy around here during releases, but then afterwords, everything goes back to normal, everyone goes back to working on projects and helping each other out, and all discussions for the most part is just feedback on colors, filters, and such, and an eventual preservation release, that is when ALL IS GOOD around here.
