Info & Help Wanted: Team Blu needs your help!
Time

Hi Everyone,
Just as the title says, we need your help, before I can share anything we really need some kind of an NFO template, are there any members here that is good at making these kind of templates, we want it to be something that when it first gets clicked open you know right away it is an NFO from us, this would really help speed things a long so all we would have to do is type in the info and then save and go, I have seen and still see some groups NFO’s actually have like a logo on the top, this would be real nice for us, but none of us know how to do this, so if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

Second, we would like a very short logo type video made to show that a release is from us, I have seen in the past members here making them up for others, well this to is something we think we should have, so if anyone has any ideas, suggestions, please post and let us know, and most of all if anyone can actually make us a kick ass video logo with audio this would be great! we were thinking on having this play when the BD is first placed into the player, nothing to long, and then goes to the top menu, and at 1080p of course lol, so if anyone can help, this would be sweet!

So please if anyone here can help we sure can use it, these 2 things would really be nice to have, and I will think of someway to repay you for your time if we use what you come up with, I am sure I can come up with something lol to share, and 1 more thing, we really do not want it Star Wars related because we do a lot of non SW as well.

Thanks

Team Blu

I am posting this in “Star Wars Preservations and Other Fan Projects” and “Other Preservations and Fan Projects” because we need to get this out and we need you guys to see the request, thanks.

'Escape From New York' - laserdisc soundtrack rip (Released)

i just got back my ld from zeropc. he captured the movie audio for me. i trimmed the beginning, layer change and end to get the pure audio of the movie. let me know if you want it and a good place to put it so you can grab it.

i didn't sync it - i'll leave the task up to you.

audio was captured to wave from the widescreen c.e. ld.

Is it a digital rip of the audio? or just an analog capture?

That plus I have no idea how to make a slip cover LOL.

Me neither! haha

DJ contacted some pro to print them, maybe he can tell you more.

No I can't, this is a special treat for those that were gracious enough to donate!

No really I have no idea how my guy does this so well and really have had no interest in asking because I do not have the time to do it anyways, but as I previously said, this will not be something regular, I just can't afford to keep doing all this out of my pocket, but it is really nice isn't it? they look even better in hand.

Yea I really hate to say it but the V3 SUCKS compared to this, it is really dated and flawed, now I am not saying our new version is not flawed as well, but not nearly as much, this new Set is just miles ahead of that old shit, I am sorry for saying it but I have seen both and to me, yes the V3 is shit lol, now I know there are still a lot of peeps out there that still really love that Set, well all I can say to you is just wait until you see and hear this one.

I just wanted to post and say this is not dead, we will revisit it when we have time and figure out what approach we are going to take, but on a positive note, I do finally have the bit perfect PCM from the LD, and it is a raw rip NO equalizing or tampering of any kind, I am going to leave it exactly the way it is on the LD, and it sounds nice! well I just wanted to say this is not forgotten, we are just very close to getting others done now.

Thanks for your time

OH, and a HUGE thanks to the member that got this for us, we can't thank you enough!

Thanks for the input but I am still not 100% certain on torrents, and spleen is always needing donations to keep going, I remember way back when that when they did not get enough donations the site went down for some time, well I certainly am not going to put something this big on a site that may go down, I have tried contacting walkingdork but he seems to not be responding to PM's anymore.

Also when the file sizes are 25 to 50 GB's, you never just upload that much, it usually ends up almost double before you have seeds, well we have a cap every month, so as of right now I am just not sure yet, and I still have time anyways, the copies for my Team and those that donated still have not gotten theirs copies yet and this is going to happen first, I am still trying to figure out the best way, something will happen, just not sure what yet.

Please don't feel you have to go overboard in the future, DJ.  Make sure we have all made it worth your while to make things like this happen.  This is a spectacular presentation and I cannot wait to see it, but I hope you get back at least what you put into it next time.  Hopefully more so it all evens out if you take a loss in materials from one project to the next.  Meanwhile, this should arrive just in time for my B-day and I cannot thank you enough for this massive, massive amount of work, blood, sweat, tears and talent you must have put into this project.  In fact I want to thank the entire team for these glorious efforts.  Simply amazing beyond belief.

Thank you, and I was just about to say this could not have been done without the entire Team, this and all of our projects really takes a lot of teamwork from all of us, we are all working very, very hard on these.

Thanks again

Holy Shit, DJ... I knew you were going all out but this is unbelievable.  Crom is pleased.

I know, I just wanted to do something special for those that donated, unfortunately I will not be able to do this all the time, I wish I could, because this is how I do things and how I would want my BD's, but all this artwork and cases cost me well over $150, and I simply cannot afford to do this all the time unless people donate to the artwork\case front as well as blanks lol.

I just hope all of you like the package.

I want to say I am sorry for how long this is taking, I have been waiting on the art works for this now 2 weeks, so hopefully I will have them soon and can at least get these out to the Team and to those that were kind enough to donate very soon, I think in the future I am going to scale back doing all the case artwork, all of this comes out of my pockets, the printing, cutting, and then shipping to me, but I just hate having a plain BD to send lol, I love complete packages, when I receive something I like it to look like I just bought it at the Store lol, well anyways fingers crossed I get what I need soon so I can then turn around and send these out, We really would love to hear\read your thoughts and comments since this will be our first official Team Blu release, followed by hopefully Night of The Living Dead 1990 SE and then our Star Wars 77 and A New Hope 97 SE! then back to both Terminators and True Lies and finally both ESB's!

Thanks for your time and patience

Truly sorry for the lack of updates on these 2 releases but I am still waiting on menu packages for a couple in front of these then I will get these and also waiting on case arts to be finished, ALL assets are done and have been done for a long time now, so hopefully we will have something to show soon and get out there, these files do no one any good just sitting on my hard drives, again real sorry it is taking so long, that is all I am going to say, because I said it would be "soon" months ago.

You_Too and I are actually ready to hit the ESB's now, I think we had our nice SW break and are ready to get back.

Stay tuned

I am all for making other Horror movies from 1080i HDTV sources but it seems no one has access to these files, hell I already asked if anyone has the Night of The Demons HDTV file and got zero responses, so if you have some files which ones do you have?

is there something wrong with the blu-ray of said movie?

lol the original Night of The Demons is not out, that is what is wrong, we just had part 2 released a few weeks ago but no part 1, and I am sure we will never see part 3 released.

So BD25 or BD50? Hopefully the film grain will be kept in, which is my understanding.

See above. It's a BD50. As for the grain:

You_Too said:The clipping resulted in a loss of the grain that is present throughout the whole movie in the original, which we have restored by sampling grain from scenes where it wasn't destroyed.

...On closer examination of the HDX version, I could see now that it's oversharpened and that's why I thought it looked more compressed than it actually is. We're planning on maybe blurring it a bit to get back the cleaner look from before the oversharpening, and then sample some grain and re-add it over the whole movie to cover up whatever compression is left, and also to restore the grain in all scenes where compression might've reduced it.

^Sorry for the weird formatting.

Nice for the BD50 and glad you guys are working on the film grain. So would we download the BD50 then and burn it ourselves? The discs are a bit costly, even from Optical Quantum. Why not have a separate disc for the HDX version, BD25, and then keep everything else on the BD50? To keep better bitrate for the film. I'd like to have a 2-Disc anyway. OR both versions of the film on the BD50 and the extras on a BD25.

Of course seamless branching would be practically impossible due to the differing resolutions and quality of the sources. Full menus obviously.

What about high quality HDTV 1080i converted to 1080p BD25s of horror films not on Blu-ray yet? Or alternate versions? I'd like to see this continue.

It is a BD50 and that is it, we are not making anymore changes, and it is seemless using the angle feature, I have already tested a movie\s only BD with ALL audio options and subs just minus extras and you are able to switch between the 2 whenever you want by using the angle button on your remote, and there are full top and pop up menu's, this is truly a beautiful set, just as Conan is and all the rest we end up doing, so this is what it is.

and yes you will download and burn it yourself, I certainly do not have the means to burn everyone a copy lol, I will only do this for my Team and those that donated BD50's.

I am all for making other Horror movies from 1080i HDTV sources but it seems no one has access to these files, hell I already asked if anyone has the Night of The Demons HDTV file and got zero responses, so if you have some files which ones do you have?

I am not really sure what all this talk is on the "work print" but if you look in our extras you will see it is included, and from what I have read and seen we have the best available version, now if you guys think that a version of the BD can be made with these added scenes integrated in to the video your just nuts, the quality is terrible, it is watchable for what it is, but that is it.

So if you guys are hinting at us making an edit with these additions, no way, if you are asking if we need it, no we don't it is already included, and so is the "Making of".
