Newsgroup posting with current PC's?

That is an old version; last time I posted something I used an updated version called CamelSystem Powerpost.

And sorry, NZB links are not allowed to be posted here. You could just tell people what to search for at binsearch.info.

Sounds good, I also grabbed that version of Power Post to try, do you know anything of the program Althor posted? also do you know anything about MultiPar? I really think this is the way to go if I can just get my speeds up lol.

OK just seen your edit, at that upload speed it should take you around 5 hours to upload a BD25.

Definitely sounds like there's a problem if it's taking 24hr+.

lol I know right, but not putting mainstream flicks on Spleen and a lot of folks not liking Uploaded.net so my next attempt was going back to the newsgroups, but I am afraid to say if I cannot get better speeds this will not happen either, right away I just assumed it was the way, way old program Yenc Power Post  A&A 11b, this is actually the software Segaflip gave me way, way, way back in the day lol.

also 1 thing, I am not sure if this is ok or not so could you tell me please, can I provide a download link here to the nzb? if not that is cool just trying to figure out a way to share without all the PM's.

Thanks

I will have to try and find one of those sites that test speed, but I know when I torrent I get about 3 MB's I think it is, not sure what the size terminology is here lol, but with Yenc PP I only get 250-300 and this is way, way lower, and the amount of data I posted was about 25 GB's.

*edit, well I just did the speed test and this si the results,

I'm using JBINUP to post with based upon recommendations from other users.  I can say for me it has been the most reliable and has never failed me whereas the other 2 I used before were quite flaky. I basically use all of the default settings and just plug in my username, password, and server information.

When I create rar's I've always set the file size to 100 megabytes per rar and selected no compression.

I use multipar because it works with win7 64bit and has a gui.

Thanks, that is what I did as well, I made 100 MB (stored) rars and found MultiPar, but do you have the same control with MultiPar as you do with QuickPar? like making the filesizes the same 100MB? thanks for the other program I will check it out, but I really do hope it lets me upload a lot faster then I did this BD, Yenc Power Post definitely did not take advantage of my speed at all.

Thanks again

OK so I have instructions on how to do this from a member that used to be a regular here and a very cool dude, he went by the name Segaflip, well I have just posted a project of ours and it took way, way to long, I have very fast speeds and this is just unacceptable, so I am assuming that maybe my instructions are very outdated, these were probably made well over 10 years ago lol, so my question is this, what are you current uploaders using when posting to the newsgroups? proper settings, size of the files, etc. by the way I just found out Quickpar does not work correctly on Windows 7 64-bit Pro either when trying to create par2 files.

So any advice or how to's on this would be great, because if I cannot figure this out then newsgroup posting will be out of the question as well, this current upload I have available took me 24+ hours to upload, it should have been a lot less.

Thanks

Maybe it is.  All I know for sure was the he was selling Star Wars bootlegs.

He was selling a lot more then just Star Wars DVD's, I know I was stupid enough to get caught up in it when I first joined this site, but I learned really fast on how to do these things myself so I did not have to buy shit again, so he obviously is not banned, but he did do exactly the same thing OCP did, so figure that out, I certainly can't.

OK to those that are concerned, we are not dead, we did not quit, we are still going to share what we do, we had to make changes, drastic changes to how we do things, I have said this more then a couple times earlier in this thread, now regarding Spleen, I have been in talks with a few Admins there for a few days and we have come to a mutual decision that these main stream projects\movies we do should not be there, hell they really should have never been there to begin with, the Team and I have decided that it is not worth putting Spleen at risk with main stream films, our Star Wars projects will stay and all our new ones will go there, but from now on all our non Star Wars main stream projects will go elsewhere, everything that was there, well most of them anyways, are still available by uploaded.net links, but they will ALL go back up again at some point.

So there you have it, we do not talk about what we are doing anymore, as was said by someone already, I will post when a project is done and available for you guys to grab, so the whole "temper tantrum" theory is BS lol, and we are glad that the POS christopher\fremandar finally got his ass banned, the idiot is already directing comments at me at blu-ray.com now, hell he is probably pissed to because one of the torrents he was grabbing got deleted before he finished, which to me was pretty damn cool lol, after the crap he was saying it was the least the Admins could do for me over there, I have much respect for the Admins there, walkingdork and the others are pretty cool dudes.

So that's it, there you go, I will post again when I have something to post about.

Take Care guys

Upon starting each version of the film you're greeted to a Warner bros logo, then a docsap logo, and then the film starts.  I found it to be unobtrusive, but it the purest sense I can understand why someone wouldn't care for it to be there.

Thank you for the answer, I can save my bandwidth, I really, really hate when people do this, you will never, ever see us do this on our releases.

Thanks again

So I was finally able to get this burned late Sunday night, but I'm just getting over the flu from this past weekend so I haven't had a chance to write up a full review of the project  just yet, but thought I'd highlight an important issue.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but this project will not fit onto a 50gb bd-r in its current state.  Using imgburn to calculate the file size, with the bd-rom content the project sits at 105% normal capacity.  With the bd-rom content removed it sits at 104% normal capacity, so in order for this disk to work something must go.  I had to rebuild the project after cutting out the French audio track.  With only that language option removed and no other content, I filled 96% of the disk and the project worked.

I hope to have a more thourough review this weekend, but for now, people interested in this project will need to rebuild it without 1 of the audio tracks for it to work.

Now that is great authoring, can you tell me is there a docsap intro on this project to during the opening credits of the films? if so between the authoring and this, if it is there, I guess I will pass.

Now we are "elite" channels? damn this just keeps getting better and better, keep the good responses coming, we like reading this stuff, good form, and really you guys have made this decision by us really an easy one to make.

Cheers

Not elite channels (i.e. MySpleen or some other invite only place) but far easier to burn your own discs instead of asking people whom already have some of the releases. Especially downloading the BD50 and BD25 content anyway which I've done for perhaps aroubnd 30 or 40 BD25s before.

No big loss, DJ. I'd rather be more self reliant when it's for burning and printing projects instead of buying and shipping off materials.

Soon as I download both BD25 & BD50, I'll be making disc copies for just about anyone who asks politely in PM since I expect nothing in return except for appreciation. I'm more the PIF person anyway.

We know lol, freebies are the way of the World, most, not all, really don't give 2 shits what goes into making these things happen and this particular project took a lot of time and money to make happen.

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy them.

My sincerest apologies to the Team, I saw the post and I could not let it go unchallenged.  It is NOT meant in disrespect to you or anything you've done.

Hey it's all good, vbangle is a very passionate guy and a very good friend, he probably just got caught up in the lack of support\responses we got since I posted this, hell it took all of us by surprise to as a matter of fact, so lets not bicker and argue about this, what's done is done, lets just all move forward now and continue on in our own way, as some of you may have noticed I have already begun editing a lot of posts here, and I also renamed the Terminator thread because it really is not ours anymore.

Thanks again to all

No thanks needed guys, we are all glad you enjoy what we do, but we have decided to not accept anything at all and just make serious changes to what we do from here on out, hell 1 member already has lashed out a little in the Conan thread and this was totally uncalled for, so needless to say I will not use anything he provided(which is not as much as he made claim to) so I will not have to post a thanks when the project releases, I will get my own sources.

So no need for suggestions, recommendations or anything like that regarding "donating" materials, plus we will no longer need suggestions for projects, the 4 of us can come up with what to do pretty easily ourselves, plus we want to see an end, a light at the end of the tunnel, there are a couple others here that are trying to do what we do so pass on your suggestions to them.

Again, no thanks needed, just enjoy what has been released and we hope you enjoy whatever we release in the future.

Thank You and take care

Could someone possibly upload one or both versions to TP, or maybe PM me and work out a deal?  I can't do torrents, and even though I contributed a bunch of Laserdisc PCM tracks (some I synched myself) for Team Blu's upcoming projects and offered to donate $60 worth of blanks, DJ refused to help me.

Yes you did some work and we thank you for that, not as much as you claim here lol, and your "donation" is not worth it at all, so you do what you have to do and lets keep the personal attacks out of it, and you are not the only person I "refused" lol, you were also told the reasons in PM so there is no reason to re hash everything again.

Thanks

*edit, and this is just the kind of comment that really makes forgoing all this that much easier, I will leave it at that.

Well I can tell this I am not going to do, and I do get a lot of PM's for that to, I am not a service, people always PM me can I send you these 2 blanks for you to burn these 2 for me and then send back, well no I can't, this does not help us at all, it helps you, but not us, and I am saying this in general, I am not pointing fingers, I can point fingers lol but I won't.

So I guess we will just leave things as they are, we will share when we have something to share, I have already been talking withe some of the Team tonight and they feel the same way, although we are all pretty disappointed it went this way but what can you do?

Take Care guys, I will post info when I have it.

I wouldn't mind sending blanks for projects I'm interested in but I could also send spindles of blanks if need be. i.e. Only a couple of discs for me and the rest for you to burn. I'd be more than willing to ship spindles of blanks no matter what.

Now this is what we would need, this.
