VHS transfer help(sound).

I have this VHS tape i would like to transfer to DVD(actually i did a sample of it already to see how it would look)but i noticed that the sound volume drops every so often,is there any way to stabilize the sound so it wont keep dropping in volume?

ps,what i am trying to transfer is the Chicago Bears Super Bowl Win(for my brother and father in-law,i am a Cowboys fan),i have it all taped and looks pretty good,just the sound is screwy.

no its not video game systems,because i get them all,but was wondering,should i get a HD-DVD player or a Blu-Ray,and why would you pick the one over the other,I hear from the sales people at various stores,that Blu-Ray is the way to go,but this one is about $400 to $500 more expensive,but both will play standard DVD's and upconvert,so I need help.

"Dune: The Reconstructed Workprint Edition."Guys this is one hell of a job,the deleted scenes are not the same quality as the rest, but still DAMN good,this is now my favorite version,ADM just keeps getting better and better,now i cant wait for the next project WOW! is all i can say.

This is exactly why, I hope that the X0 team will release at least, ANH on or around the time that this official set is released, so we can ALL see for ourselves,in a side by side comparison,I am just not buying all this hear say on this release by GL untill I have it in my hands on Sept. 12, 2006,I refuse to believe that he is just going to throw this out there,and make it NO better than ALL our LD captures,but I could be wrong,time will tell.
just my thoughts,i cant believe all this pre-release speculation chatter and rumors,damn! we only have about 4 months to wait and we will all see.

a few more negative remarks,LOL,damn who the hell cares now,they are coming out(which we ALL KNEW they would eventually)so lets just go buy them and keep the discs we want and just put the rest in the trash,since MOST people think the OT is the ONLY way to watch these FANTASTIC films,i personally like ALL versions,as stated above,i IMHO see nothing wrong with GL trying to make his movies better,shit in the future he might change around the Prequel Trilogy,if he does this,is everyone gonna start crying over this as well?i hope he does tweak them,that just means more versions,fine with me,bring em on GL,I LOVE YOUR WORK,always have always will.
