yes it is working now,i think,i got the elusive monster squad HD file,and i tried to get the X0 TC file,but when i un-rar it it says corrupted,doesnt downloading stuff from newsgroups do hash checks like torrenting to prevent this?i took your advice Russ,i got an astraweb acct $25.00 for 90 gigs deal,and i signed up for the grabit search,this was less that $2.00 for a month(but there search servers dont have alt.binaries.starwars)what is up with that?
alo when you get done downloading a file,what are .par2 files?what are these for?do these correct corrupted files?sorry for the bombardment,but not sure what these are for LOL
but 1 thing is for certain,DAMN is downloading ALOT faster,5 1\2 hrs for Monster Sqaud HD file,20 mins for the X0 TC file,WAAAAAY faster than torrenting.

i thought i saw on monstershd website they were going to show these titles,Evil Dead 1 & 2,and i see at the end of july RKO 1933 B&W king kong will be on monsterhd,damn i would love that file LOL
i just found the X0 TC,and it only took 20 mins to download,WOW,now i see why people dont like torrents.

OK thanks to everyone that helped,I have this elusive file now,and it ONLY took 5hrs to download,damn i like newsgroups,now for Evil Dead and Evil Dead II LOL.

Hi guys,
does anyone know where this mysterious monster squad hidef file can even be downloaded from? i have searched all known torrent sites i am aware of,and cannot find this file any where.
i can find all kinds of other files but NOT this one,so if anyone knows,could you please share the info,and if you cant post the answer here,PM me please

OK I got the latest version 1.4.8 beta 7, and it seems to be working now.
also i was wondering,how can i split those files so i can back up onto a dvdr,and the ones that are split already,how do i join them?
and my last question for now,i have one file that is a .MKV file,what is this and how do i work with that one?

I have this file,it is 1:85:1 16:9 widescreen,the Xvid video itself is 704x384,I want to encode it to anamorphic widescreen using CCE & Avisynth,now using Citizens aspect ratio calculator i put in the 704x384,and for source I used NTSC Anamorphic 16:9,and what it gave me was this:

NTSC Anamorphic (16:9) = 720,393
Lanczos4Resize(720,393).Addborders(0,43,0,44)
does this seem right?is this 1:85:1?
or should I use:

source PC normal (1:1)
NTSC Anamorphic (16:9) = 720,477
Lanczos4Resize(720,477).Addborders(0,1,0,2)

that is a dumb question,ofcourse i will buy them,probably 2 sets,these will undoubtedly BLOW away ANY Laserdisc capture,and I know people are going to argue against that,but you know what,we will see this September wont we.
and all this damn speculating by all the peeps here just friggin crack me up,no one knows anything for certain untill we have them in September and we view ourselves,I can't believe ALLL the damn threads wasted to this subject,why not just see what happens and then possibly bitch afterwards.

Ditto what MoveAlong said,I also recomended this from the beginning,just 1 solid image is all that is needed,the print software whether it be to hub or not to hub will crop or not crop as needed.

Spence I am about 1/2 way through the edit now(I used Nero recode and made a SL version just to see how it would look,and it looks and sounds fantastic)I know some of the people at demonoid were complaining about it not being SL,I wouldnt worry about them,because if you upped the SL version,someone would complain it isnt the DL LOL,i am getting these kind of comments myself on the uploading of ADM's edits,now back to Kong,so far it is pretty damn cool,it even keeps my 5 year old sons interest better than the original,but there were a couple of spots where the video just "pauses" like when Denham was filming Ann on the ship(alone,then Jack comes up and Denham nudges him away)and just before Ann is lowered for Kong,but other than that so far GREAT job,i will post the rest tomorrow.
