that's the AC3 track from dark_jedi's CAV ESB preservation (1425-84) Standard Play.
Believed to be the same Dolby Surround mix heard in cinemas.

Dark, I have a question about this one.
(I know it was a long time ago, but this question doesn't require too much memory ;)
Is this set from your personal collection, or did you borrow the LD from somebody?
If yours, and if you still have it, will you please tell where were the discs were pressed?
I'm guessin' the cover probably says "Printed in USA" but what about the discs themselves?
Do disc labels say "Manufactured in USA" or "Manufactured in Japan" or something else?
Thanks

I will have to get them out,but yes I have ALL the LD's I captured, they were all my personal LD's,special thanks to Russ for helping me acquire some of them.

also still messin with possible AVCHD versions as well, but I think it might be a good idea to make them 720p as apposed to 1080p as requested, but what is the resolution of a 2.35:1 video for 720p? never messed with this reso before and have no idea what to resize the video to and what size borders to add.

I have all the #'s for standard DVD's to figure that stuff out but not for 720p & 1080p video projects.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Vector_Video_Standards2.svg

Thanks for that, but I must not be seeing what I need to see,I know that 1920x1080 is 1080HD and that 1280x720 is 720HD,but what I am asking is,let's say I make the AVCHD 720p,I know the finish size is 1280x720,but what part of that is video to make it 2.35:1,and what size are the borders?
example std. DVD 2.35:1 is 720x364(853.3 divided by 2.35) ,then addborders 0,58,0,58 encode in 16:9 and there you go,I need to know these for HD video.

like I said I know what all those dimensions are on standard DVD,just not these HD sizes.

Japanese Special Collection Star Wars Trilogy "Take 2" (* unfinished project *)
Time

Just wanted to drop a line and let everyone know I have NOT forgotten about this,I was just on a big time hunt for all the SW 1080p HD files and I now have them ALL,including the kick ass German rips, plus I was away all last weekend watching the #24 race his ass off.

and wanted to let you guys know that there may be a "Take 2" on the 97 SE's as well, but if and when that happens it will get it's own thread.

So are there people here interested in Xvid versions? and if so I was messin around with making them a few days ago and realized something,we usually clip off the black bars for Xvids, but I will not be able to in this case,at least not on SW and ROTJ,the Alien subs are now in the black border,so what I want to know is will this be a problem for you guys?

It seems part 15, 18 and 19 of Episode1 are corrupt at alt.binaries.starwars

that is what the par files are for, just run quikpar and repair.

By the way, they were not corrupt when I grabbed this and binsearch does not show them as corrupt\incomplete,so it probably happened during your download.

I was only referring to your comment about the "two hands" thing. I don't doubt that you prefer V4 in motion.

and I agree that "screenshots" from all 3 will probably show a huge difference between them, but I have NEVER really based a lot of what I do on a single screen,I know you,DrM,and others here swear by screens, but we do NOT watch movies by stepping them forward screen by screen(well maybe some of you do)to me it has always been about the motion, the way we will see it on HDTV(regular TV for others)so that is why, like you said,V4 looked better to me,I watched them on my HDTV in motion.

and if screens is what you will need to help make this script even better than V4,then screens you will recieve, but how can I take screens from the same frame number so we can compre them correctly?

Like I said I use PowerDVD,will VDub take a single frame screenshot?

Well sorry but I watched all three samples 1 right after the other and to me v5 looked worse, maybe DrM and others need to chime in then since I am not much help, since we all see things differently, and sorry I can't get exact frames,I capture them with PowerDVD.

Hey DJ,

I was only referring to your comment about the "two hands" thing. I don't doubt that you prefer V4 in motion. Are you sure I can't talk you into trying some more things?

-G

Ofcourse I will try some more tests,if this can be made better than I am all for it,but man I have to tell you,V4 looks pretty damn good,I will be around today but I will be gone all day and into the night Saturday, going to Chicagoland Speedway to hopefully watch Jeff Gordon WIN there again.

But Thanks anyways for ALL the hard work you put into these scripts, you have more patience than I do,well I guess I will go back to trying to upconvert the lossless avi files.

for anyone interested, the version 4 script versions are done and can be found at the usual place.

If I get by another Target store in my area I will. I already cleaned out the two closest to me, and in both cases I wasn't actually going there looking for the thing, I just got lucky. I have to go out of town today, and I think I am passing a Target. If I do I will drop in and check for you.

Left 4 Dead 2 comes out in November I think, no doubt the first one will take a big price cut after that.

Thanks a lot man,I really hope you find another one,I would really appreciate it.

may the luck be with you.
