do you still need this? and you need it from Ady's Purist edition right?

you are correct.
well it is funny there is a better version than what you uploaded, that is kind of a slap in the face for everyone that downloaded this version, but I will ask you 1 thing, and take it or leave it,but I am sure many here would also like to see, post some screenshots of your top secret only for you version, let us all here see the quality of that.
What scene is it you need ChainsawAsh,I have the purist also.
Do you want the clip in VIDEO_TS form or .m2v?

I have seen ALOT of fanedits, and this is just terrible,I cannot watch it at all,but if I send you the CD that I burned it on can you autograph it?
Ripplin is it true that you do indeed have a waaaay better version that is watchable? or is he blowing smoke up our collective arses?
In all serious though to you Ripplin,I cannot believe you uploaded that, you should have been able to see how bad that was from the start, work print or not, that is NO way to preview a new fanedit.
By the way, what do the folks at FE think about it,that should get very interesting over there.
Come on, be fair, sure even as a work copy it would have been a bit more sensible to up the picture quality a tad but it is just a work copy, it can be followed, you can see were the edit points are and access it to the point where constructive suggestions can be made.
I agree offering to autograph copies and all that jazz was an unfortunate display of peacockiness but A-M never said that this current incarnation was meant to be a DVD quality finished product, it's a rough illustration of a work in progress.
One benefit of the low quality was that for a cut that runs in at 4hrs it sure came down fast (even with my crappy connection speed) and it's rather brave to stick the whole thing as it currently stands out to be turned over for inspection (most editors just post the odd scene here and there at this stage).
Ripplin helped out a fellow board user and he should be applauded for doing that, what I love about this place is that people do go out of their way to help people out.
Now if this was put up as the finished product I'd be just as miffed, especially with all the earlier comments but it's clearly marked Work Copy and I can see enough to make comments and suggestions and that's what A-M posted it for.
I agree it does not have to be DVD quality, but how are you suppose to leave comments when it is not watchable, this would look like pure shit on a TV,and way worse on an HDTV,I make edits, and I have reviewed a shitload of edits,I have a TON of edits,I used to be a member at FE,so I know edits.
When you make an edit you are working with DVD quality material, and when you make a xvid of that material it should look damn near the same(unless you don't know how to make xvids).
I am in no way bashin Ripplin,I help out faneditors ALL the time by uploading there works, but when there is a problem I contact the editor and it is fixed ASAP,I personally would have never uploaded this, this is and should be,embarrassing to the editor,to get constructive comments it needs to be watchable all the way through, hell it looks to me like the opening A-MAN intro got more TLC then the film itself.
Well I guess it boils down to this,to each their own,I am used to working and dealing with "Top Notch" Fan Editors, and this comes not even close to our work copies.
I will say this though,I CAN'T WAIT to see this finished DVD in December.
sorry for the harshness A-MAN,but if Ripplin indeed got a "Better" version that what we ALL downloaded that is kind of bullshit don't you think, what makes him so special that we all can't see it and make comments? or do ONLY his comments matter to you?
All I can say is WOW!

ok
yea,but 3-6 is dial-up speed LOL.
did you watch this yourself yet, what is it like,is it really rough, feedback would be nice,or are you upping it without any looking it over first?
If for some reason it stays crawling you could send it to me and I will up it to the newsgroups.
maybe it will pick up soon,we can just wait it out and see.
I hope it ends up moving faster soon, .07kb/s is very very slow,it is slower than dial-up LOL,I am REALLY curious about this,it has been hyped so big I just have to see it.
you don't up the whole thing twice, just once, the torrent file itself will have both trackers,in uTorrent you can add multiple trackers.
If you put it up at 2 torrent sites like Noid and Nova, just make the torrent with both trackers, then up it to both.
mrbenja0618 said:Cade I need to learn how you're doing this.... Settings and all. Amazing.
I second what he said, how are you doing this, and are you only doing single images or the video?
Jonno said:Love the cover, d_j. I might have to steal that label idea for my VHS-style covers - I could never fully decide what a DVD disc made in 1983 would look like, but that's a very good start!
All credit for the covers goes to Segaflip,he did those up for our release years ago,I am thinking about just altering it for this release.
ChainsawAsh said:Just got DJ's GOUT in the mail - looks like I'm in the home stretch for Star Wars now!
Anything to help out a fellow member,I just hope it helps you.
So has anyone watched these yet?
We would love to know what you think of them.
OK FINALLY done with the manual IVTC of sides 1-3,just 2 more to go,Moth3r was absolutely right when he said it is a lot of work and time consuming,Thank GOD for AvsP!
Sure would like to know the reasoning behind changing interlace patterns in the same damn scene for, this is some weird shit.
Now it is time to take a break.

Aleksbmw said:Dark_Jedi: I checked out your JSC project and noticed a few things, i couldnt help to notice the chroma (color) noise in some of the pictures you posted. Incase you didnt know Elite 79 is a CLD-D704 with another faceplate, a few higher end audio parts, the video circuits are exactly the same. It recombinates chroma and luma for any video output, with loss of detail and color accuracy as a side effect. Its always nice to have something to judge by tho when i start capping so best of luck with your project. The only LD players to give pure output is the X0 and the C2ex (my player) Not to get people excited but im watching the anh SE 97 set now and grinning like a little boy at how good this looks, and i havent finished all the mods yet. Capture card coming in about 2 weeks, so you can expect some material in the near future. And yes im giving the raw captures to people that want to help, im not experienced with virtualdub and premiere.
well that is nice to know, but still it is more talk, let us all see something, and so what if I do not have a top of the line player,it is pretty damn good for what I do and my results look pretty good, that is what avisynth is for,to correct,or try to anyways, the flaws.
So now we have read several statements about how "your player" is so damn good, come on man, show something, and then show more, then someday an actual release, releases to me prove everything, until something is released for ALL to enjoy,it is ALL TALK!
But I will still follow this thread and keep reading, just like I did with the X0.
So if anyone wants to attack me for what I said,go for it,everyone here that knows me(and I have been here a very long time)knows that I am a put up or shut up kind of guy.
Cheers and I will follow your thread
budwhite said:I was just looking in at a.b.starwars the other day and found that there was dts 5.1 upmixes to ESB and ROTJ. Is there for IV also? I didn't see anything
They are all there, that is where I got them from,Satanika upped them all.
budwhite said:The last vid look excellent. Maybe I had really low expentations from the start but..damn! Never thought it could look so good.
and we are done yet my friend,we are just getting started LOL.
our goal here is to "try" and make the best transfer we can for ALL of us to enjoy.
and I hope ChainsawAsh remembers he said he would do up fancy menu's with sound, motion scene selection,etc.etc.etc.
So I can get the ESB 5.1 from the Ady's AVCHD,but where can I get SW and ROTJ untouched?
Avisynth is SO friggin great, but sometimes it totally SUX!
I am trying to manually IVTC a scene and I had it right, then went to check it and now it is wrong, but when I go back to do it again,my original settings still work, and now it loops the damn avi file, jeez WTF!
well I will fiddle with it a little longer than I might leave it for the day.
the scene is right after Ben's Hut with Vader and the Empire round table.

Yeah i read your player has an AC3 RF out. I think you need a demodulator though?
DAMN,sounds like it will be to much trouble, has anyone here already captured this audio from all 3 movies?
This is my LD player:
