Star Wars 1977 70mm sound mix recreation [stereo and 5.1 versions now available] (Released)
Time

I am just messin with you dude, I probably won't even listen to the stereo tracks that I am putting SO much time into, and I am pretty sure the 5.1 mix will be the default on all 3 because that is the version I will most likely listen to, I do have a very nice high end set up and DD 5.1 all the way for me.

Seriously though, why don't you go get the scripts and run your own encodes of the scenes in question(you can use the trim() command), then you will know for sure what is going on now with the new version, I am not posting sample clips because I like it and am spending to much time trying to get this together than upload a bunch of samples, also here is where all the audio files are for the GOUT.

http://binsearch.info/?server=&max=250&g=alt.binaries.starwars&a=GOUT%40GOUT.com+%28GOUT%29

and on the Cantina scene you mentioned, I personally think it looks great, especially with msycamores subs in there, I had my own subs in there(this is the only part of g-force's script I did not like) but msycamores looks a lot better.

@zombie

"If you can't deal with that, don't publically post it." first off who the hell are you to even say that LOL, no one! and my problem with you is this, you KEEP saying the same things over and over, and you keep complaining about an OLD version, I mean really if you want to complain about the new version, well that is a different matter, but you are not, so how do you know that all the stuff you keep bitching about isn't already addressed? g-force has made several script updates since that version you keep talking about, and everything he has done with that works together, he has even made separate scripts for each movie now instead of 1 for all, because of all the different issues he was working with.

So why don't you head over to his thread, grab the latest script, and make your own encode and take a look at the results, now that sounds like a plan doesn't it? also you said the only reason you are following this set is for the audio, well go to the newsgroups and download the source files and there you go, all audio options are there for you, that is a good plan to I reckon.

I have said this before and I will say it again, this set I am doing now is for those people that do not have the time, avisynth know how(setting up all the plugins and running), or a powerful enough PC to get the job done in a decent amount of time, plus adding all the other audio options(or at least some).

I really don't want to sit here and argue with you anymore because frankly, it is not worth it, you are very heavily biased to the editdroid set and that is fine, I am heavily biased towards this set, so grab the audio from the groups and be done with it already.

Later dude

Wasn't the GOUT already yellow-biased? Maybe that's why I thought the cantina scene on DJ's version looked so yellow, if it's been pushed even further that way. Doesn't look right to me.

How the HELL can you nitpick something you have NOT even seen yet? I have posted no images or samples, your bitching is getting really old now, why don't you just be happy with your editdroid v3 set and be done with it, this set will SUCK for you, you DON'T want it, and you DON'T need it, damn enough already.

this will be my last post for a while, I need a damn break from this shit for a while.

you guys are always free to make your own audio, it is very easy to rip it and replace with your own, I will use whatever bit rate it takes to put these on there, I want this to be my last set I ever do, because all I really care about is getting a retail Blu-ray release anyway, so I want to get this as good as I can and get as many different audio options as I can, and the video is at 6500 and that will not change.

so if you don't like what I put out, like I said above, make your own.

I just got feedback from msycamore on my hopefully final version of the '80 Theatrical stereo mix, and he found nothing wrong, not even the screw up I did at the carbon freeze chamber, to be honest I fixed all that was mentioned and while going through the file I found some myself that you guys didn't even hear, I am still waiting on ChainsawAsh's thoughts and I sent the link to hairy_hen and Adywan,if all goes well I will finish up Jedi and then possibly get the home release stereo re-mixes of all 3 films(but I need ChainsawAsh's help on which LD's these are on) so Star Wars and The Empire Strikes Back should be done soon.

Thanks guys for clearing that up, one thing I did for myself that really annoyed the shit out of me is this, whenever you use the '93 mix you have to remember belbucus's delay settings, well when I made my first sample run I forgot that, so I have fixed those darn PCM files and made them right, now all you have to do is USE THEM, no more having to remember to set friggin delay, that is the way my PCM for Empire and Jedi are to, no delay settings, they are good to go.

you list '77 Dolby Stereo and '77 mono and also a 35mm Stereo maybe it's just a small mistake of you but the '77 mono and stereo tracks are 35mm.

So they are the same? why didn't anyone tell me this sooner? I just see all these damn numbers and assume they are all different, and I don't even know what the '85 mix is or what it is on, I told you I am not an audio guy LOL, that is why I asked is there anything written somewhere to actually see what is different between mixes, and what is out there and what is not.

You can download the 2019 edition from either of the two forums mentioned in my last post.

OK I got the 2019 from FFshrine but title 17 is corrupt, is there a non corrupt version anywhere?

Hi Dark_Jedi and everyone that can't be bothered to scroll back 1 page to see the links to Blade Runner Soundtracks Group. Here it is again.

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/bladerunner_soundtrack

The so-called "2019" version is in flac and many other LOSSLESS BR soundtrack editions are also available. As well as regular mp3 uploads of interest.

If you are a real fan of the music, that's where to be. FF Shrine only has mp3s which are useless to any serious collector.

And this site... well. No freedom of expression. Only sycophants allowed to comment. As well as never delivering the goods - of course.

Jump on this link before it, too, vanishes.

All my love,

Zhora :-)

I signed up and got approval to the group, but now I am having a hard time navigating that place, I can't find any FLAC versions, I would love to get 2019 and ESPER retirement edition, can you give me some tips on how to find things in the group? PM me if you want. I will keep trying in the meantime.

That said I'd have love to have been able to try reediting and layer something like my work on ESB... Just only a dream...

What do you mean by this, making a score only soundtrack on the film? if that is what you mean that would be very cool.

Very cool indeed. The only fan disc I can think of with an isolated score is one EditDroid did, but I'm sure there are others. What an excellent [other] way it would be to enjoy A B C's work. Could [hypothetically] be done with all three movies, as he has remastered the entire originally trilogy...more than once.

I would give it a shot if all ABC's music was in order and I got a little help on where to start it in the film, I tried doing this at one time on my "The Mummy" HD project, I love the score to that but I only got about a third of the way through it before it got to hard to tell where the score ended and the other started with all the action and effects and dialogue.

I made a sample DVD of Star wars to test how msycamores subs look and to go through and see if I could have 5 audio options for SW, well it worked ALL 5 audio options WILL be available on Star Wars, and the subs look GREAT!

speaking of audio mixes, is there anything detailing the differences between all these mixes? I would love to read the differences.

also any feedback yet on my latest ,80 ESB stereo mix from you guys that got it?
