I just downloaded the latest Belbucus ANH '93 remix, and it seems my earlier file of it was corrupt or something because this one is perfectly fine at the spot I pointed out before. Thanks for uploading, Mallwalker!
dark_jedi, have you heard any differences between the audio files at those times Mallwalker pointed out?
I have not even worked on this set in a while, still waiting on to many things to even finish so it is on hold for now.
You said you tried v2.0 & v2.3, have you tried the latest version 2.51?
THIS IS GREAT ABC, I better get my butt to the PM's LOL, I can't wait to put this all together as well.
What is the best way for you to get this ABC? I want you to get it before I do anything else with it, because as you said, it seems WE are the only ones really interested, which in all honesty is fine by me, so if I have to, I will mail it to you.
"If you like the Theatrical versions of each film this is the set to get, I think the only way this set can be beat is by only GL himself releases them."
This is my opinion only, this is just how I feel about them, you guys might think differently I am not sure until you guys see them.
You want to do what I am doing now LOL, you will absolutely NEED Sony Vegas, it is the shit when doing this kind of audio work, I am sync'ing the LD DD 5.1 tracks to the broadcast DD 2.0 tracks for the '97 SE's, it is very tricky work at first but once you get the hang of it, it is pretty fun.
Adywan gave very good tips on how to do this in 1 of my threads, I will see if I can find it and make a link to it.
OK I found the thread, this is the thread and it starts on page 3 about Vegas.

Those white ones would definitely be better on the ink, I am open for anything really, I just want the GOUT v3 set to be more classic theatrical looking, and the SE to be well, SE looking, I just do not want the SE set to look anything like what is available now retail.
Forget I asked.
Harmy do you have those 3 posters you have on the first page available without the "Partly Despecialized Edition" on them?

D_J, though we're working together on the IE, I don't know a damn thing on your GOUT versions. Why are they so appreciated (seems) ? What are the improvements (noise, contrasts, colours ?) ? What else ?...
All that I understood is that you work with other mixes, and made the GOUT theatrical...
I Thought it was the right place to ask.
Well g-force's scripts really improved the image(with what you mentioned and other) and it is made anamorphic(16:9) and they will have all the available audio mixes for the first time ever, no other set can say that, I am sure other people will chime in and tell you how nice these are, and 1 might comment about how it is not, but the ignore feature here is great for that.
If you like the Theatrical versions of each film this is the set to get, I think the only way this set can be beat is by only GL himself releases them.
Hope this helped somewhat LOL.

I think it'd be an interesting experiment, but I'm not sure what you'd do about things like Mos Eisley or Lapti Nek. Splice in an upmix, I suppose ...
I know it probably is not the greatest idea LOL but I really like this audio, it really sounds good, it seems to really take advantage of ALL speakers, also Lapti Nek I am aware of,but what is the Mos Eisley part you speak of? and if I did try something like this I would need to know all the differences so I know exactly where to look.
I was just thinking, as good as the '97 LD DD 5.1 audio sounds wouldn't it be a good alternate audio if that could be edited to the GOUT? I am in no way bashing what hairy_hen and Satanika are doing but I am not sure if they are using any of this for there 5.1 upmixes, although I could be wrong, I do not read every single post in every single thread LOL.
I am just really, really impressed with the '97 5.1 audio, really sounds fantastic, at least to me.
and as far as an update on this project, I am still checking all audio PCM's I have, and still waiting on the same things as before, so nothing really happening as of yet sorry to say.
Update, I just re-did ANH and ESB, found some things I did not like about my first go round, but I am pretty happy with the results now, and Darth Editous's LD rip of the DD 5.1 mix sounds EXCELLENT! I have ESB authored and ready to go but need the subs gone over by our resident sub expert msycamore before I can encode ANH and author up, but while waiting on the subs I will start ROTJ today, so hopefully this set will be done shortly.
I want to try to get this as good as I can because I will not revisit these again after I release them.
msycamore, I do not have either one of those LD's, yes I know it is surprising, but I actually did not buy any of them LOL.
but from my brief checking around, THX is going to cost more than AG.

I'll try my hand at the GOUT stuff, I think. Been wanting some "retro" covers for these anyway.
Thanks for giving that a try.
That sounds excellent ABC.

Did you have something specific in mind for any of them?
Not really, just for v3 use artwork from the time, and same for the '97 set, as for the ESB "Imperial Edition" I have no idea what to use, maybe ABC might have some ideas.
Just wanted to ask and see if anyone here was interested in making up artwork for these sets:
Star Wars Trilogy GOUT v3 Set
'97 Special Edition Star Wars Trilogy
The Empire Strikes Back "Imperial Edition" Music DVD
would really like to have some artwork for these since these will probably be my last Star Wars DVD projects, unless ABC and I do music DVD's for the other 2.
Thanks

D_J, your sample helped me fixing the first half of "Ice Planet"... It will be top.
Great, can't wait to watch this when it is complete, very fun stuff.

Thanks but now I did exactly what you said you did, and now I got it, now it checks out, but thanks anyways vbangle.
have not listened to all yet, but this sample did decode, I have the wav file now, I wonder if the other did not decode because of the muted start, but all is good now.
Yes, I read your PM after I posted my message.
Is there any possibility of using sendspace or hotfile instead of megaupload?
I don't know why but I can't decode that FLAC file, so I will not be able to test it until I can get it to decode, FLAC front end just will not decode it.
but I listened to it, is there a very long pause at the beginning? no Fox fanfare and intro?
So can someone upload the file DM uploaded already decoded to wav or put it to FLAC?
