I'm currently making a blu-ray of the HD version with all extras.

I sent you a PM a while ago on an update to this and got no reply, is it pretty safe to assume this is not going to happen?

Does anyone have links to the HD broadcast version of this, would like to make my own if there are still live links.

The Return of The Living Dead "Original" audio project. (Released)

OK we will see what happens in a few days, I am hopeful on obtaining the real retail "untouched" audio file from the very hard to find Tartan R2 DVD, if all goes well I will see if it sounds any different than what I am currently working with, which is supposed to be the same source, we will see.

Now an update, Ady has shown me what I needed to know and now I can save all my lossless wav files, so now this really opens up the door, I just did a sample encode of the finished edit of the "original" audio in DTS-HD MA form, this baby weighs in at 2 GB's LOL and I also made up a LPCM 5.1 audio file to test weighing in at 8.76 GB's LOL.

I thought you were doing the video? I actually like the new video myself, the old video looks, well old, but would love to have the original audio, plus I am not sure what approach to take on the new video to make it look like that bottom pic, you have any ideas?

OH and you could rip the audio with DVDDecrypter, it is free and it is a pretty easy process.

If you are rendering them out as mono files then you need to change your project settings. Change your settings to stereo, move any audio sliders that are set to either left or right to the center. Then mute every track apart from the channel you want to render as a mono file. When rendering make sure that "enable multichannel mapping" is unticked. Set your output to wav mono and render. Then do the same for each channel.

I think that is the only thing I did not try, can your project settings be changed after it is done? I mean I have all my edits done and project saved but it is 5.1 settings.

quick questions: *Is the Francis Haines/Matt Clifford score devoid of SFX in the rear channels? *For "Panzer Rollen Afrika Vor" (Ernie's Nazi Anthem on his Walkman), has this been replaced

There were only 5 changes listed on IMDB for the original audio, this was not one of them mentioned, but I will check it out.

OK I figured out my own issue with the wav files(*edit, well I thought I did but it turns out my idea did not work) Vegas SUX in this department, but anyways this is where I am at,

1) "Dead Beat Dance", fully restored
2)Tarmans original voice edited in where it was different, there are actually some scenes where it is a little deeper on the original also, but where it is different it was fixed.
3) "Take a Walk" has been fully restored.
4) The line "Send more cops" has been fully restored.
5) "Burn The Flames" fully restored, and the little audio glitch that was placed over Franks suicide scream has been removed from the front left & right channels as well as the center.

So this baby is just about done, I can't wait to watch this movie fully again.
