The Return Of The Jedi
Video,
16:9 Anamorphic @ 2.35:1
Audio,
1983 Theatrical Stereo-- '85 Home Video ...... from 1986 laserdisc
Dolby Digital 5.1 Remix
1985 Home Video Stereo Remix .................... from 1987 laserdisc
1993 Home Video Stereo Remix

There I fixed it for you

So your disc will have two copies of '85 Home Video'
I wonder why you chose to do it that way?

Just wanted to waste some bit rate?
No seriously ... did you find some differences between them? Care to share?
I haven't found any, and hairy_hen didn't notice any in the short section I sent him.

Maybe you just want to preserve those two particular laserdiscs ... not that there's anything wrong with it!
In that case, don't you think they should be labelled that way?

I never claimed to be an audio expert in these matters, if you are and you say they are the same then obviously I will ditch one, I just love the way some people spot and report errors.

Honestly I never realized there were so many differences in the audio from the start, I actually have been relying on ChainsawAsh for a lot of help on this through PM's, I LOVE the Star Wars movies but I do not live and breath Star Wars like some here, it does not run my life.

Pet Death Imminent
Time

Well I know this thread had died off a bit, but I just thought I would share this, our little guy just passed away this morning right in front of all of us, I knew he was getting very close last night so I called my oldest son home and he rushed right over, we all got our last pictures and such and then he passed this morning at 6:30 AM, DAMN, was it painful to watch, we have decided to have him privately cremated and bought a very special urn, tough times right now for us, very sad.

Just thought I would share.

* All DVD's have a static menu's with audio, and will be DVD9's.

This is what I am shooting for, and as far as audio bitrates, I am not sure, like to keep as high as I can obviously, but I am limited to what the DVD will let me(total max bitrate), so final bitrate I will only know once I get them authored up and see, hope this helps somewhat LOL.

Yes, there is several different audio options, static menu's with audio, so yes there is a difference, but whether or not the eye can really see it, who knows.

But there is no way I could use the same bitrate on the video for the release with all the audio, the audio files use up some of the overall bitrate as well.

Will the discs have DVD_ROM folders?

Don't know, really don't have anything to put in them.
