The one that I downloaded doesn’t have the mono track. Can someone help please?

Which one did you download?

One I found on Reddit:

Does your one have a team negative 1 intro message? If so the version you have is version 1, which does not include the mono mix. If you want mono you have to download version 1.6. Also do not post direct links to projects, it is against the rules of the forum.

Sorry, I erased the link. Can you point me in the right direction?

PM on its way

Star Wars Episode IX (was) to be directed by Colin Trevorrow - DUEL OF THE FATES RIP

Trevorrow seems to have some pretty ambitious ideas for Ep. IX.

“I asked the question, 'Is it possible for us to shoot IMAX film plates in actual space for Star Wars, and I haven’t gotten an answer yet.”

pretty hilarious. It seems like he might be having a bit of fun with his comments though!

although, it almost seems like Disney might spend the money to shoot in space…

I’ve been trying to change my avatar, but no matter what I do it remains John Wick on my screen. The avatar system is pretty wonky in general, I don’t like that I have to refresh to see peoples’ updated avatars, that should be done automatically. Is this just a problem on my end, or is this something with the software?

Turns out I have to clear my image cache in Google Chrome in order for new avatars to show up. Now I have to do it for everyone that changes their avatar, otherwise it doesn’t show up. Kinda lame, but at least it’s fixed.

Avatars don't update
Time

The problem is that Avatar images are served under your user ID, so the URL never changes. Also the http header allows for an enormously long caching time (Cache-Control: max-age=31536000). i see ETag is being used, but unless i am confused, that only applies once the max-age has expired?

A simple fix may be to serve the images by the pre-computed md5 hash of the actual image file, instead of the userid. it would mean an extra piece of data needs to be looked up for each user when loading a page.

Am i oversimplifying this?

Refreshing is annoying, especially on my android phone, where it seems i have to actually go into the site ‘storage’ settings to deleted cached data.

I’m thinking I might abandon the DNR version…
…Would anybody here be too upset?

I was going to suggest sticking to a non-DNR version, so that’s fine by me.

same here. with the DNR version, there would be just too much headache of constantly double checking for cleaned up detail that should not have been cleaned up. “give it to us raw…”! 😃

a quick retrospect, is the blockiness of the smokey scenes a result of the encoding, or is that inherent in the scan, and something only DNR cleans up?

clever, but not asking for love. this is a good post.

Well he’s getting it whether he wants to or not. Accepting my love and letting it fester inside him is something that’s within his control.

lol. you know, after i posted this i realized that it looked like i was dissing your post somehow. i wasn’t. but it did obviously affect my wording.

Dr Strange. IMAX 3D.

Very enjoyable film. 9/10.

I think the thing that stood out to me the most was just how immersive this film actually felt in spite of, and perhaps because of, being in 3D. I generally hate 3D films, but I forgot I was watching 3D soon after it started. I think the nature of the film also just works well with 3D.
