Thread went downhill after the first 7 posts.

This thread pretty much started at the bottom of the hill.

Bored.

Frink was right when he dismissed my statement that the thread had bottomed out. I have now realized that it is still in an awkward freefall.

I didn’t dismiss it!

well, i forget what you did

Almost laughed out loud, actually snorted weirdly. 😄

Really glad I found this. I successfully downloaded Episode 4. Having trouble with the audio on Episode 5. Did the multi-part download of the RAR files through Free Rapid Downloader. Video comes in perfect, just trouble with the audio. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I too just downloaded Ep 5 myself and the video is great, but I’m getting all the audio tracks playing all at once over each other! Is there a fix for this?

So, this probably is probably related to whatever software or hardware you are using. Try using VLC media player.

Don’t forget the part where Krennic lands too far away from everything. Now, it doesn’t have to bother you, but you still have to mention it, otherwise you’ve not done a proper review of Act One.

Obviously, they needed to conserve their fuel to get to Coruscant, afterwards.

The entire first act is one big city.

you must have not noticed the title cards…

THX Colson

What purpose did a necrobump of this crap thread serve?

Entertainment.

Ahhhh … kind of mocking Colson for being one of the people to start this damn “can I have a myspleen” invite rush we’re having again? I know Colson was not the only one giving them away like candy in the project threads. I did refer the issue to a mod a few weeks back.

Honestly I don’t know who Colson is and I didn’t understand the THX Colson post, I just enjoy this thread on general principles.

is general principles an EU character? not familiar with him / her / it.

I enjoyed the bump, because it took me a page of reading to realize that this was an old thread. it seemed to fit the current climate perfectly. (it is not evidence of my lack of careful reading)

Hm, so in that case, Saw appears even more delusional when he says something along the lines of, “You’re here to kill me?”

…but still, I got the impression that the Rebel Alliance viewed Saw and his band of terrorists as an issue, so it would benefit them if Saw could be killed before doing anything else reckless. Am I wrong?

they viewed him as too extreme, yes. but i don’t think the alliance would ever choose to have him killed. maybe a rogue (lol, haha, see what i did?) commander would, just like they did with galen, but not as the alliance.

and Saw is a bit delusional no doubt, too much killing of others will make you paranoid like that.

I presume the severe damage to Saw’s body was because of the Empire, and that drives his more ruthless style of rebellion. Remember, one of the Rebel leaders actually wants him assassinated and tasks Cassian to do the deed.

Cassian killing his informant was to keep him from talking and facilitate his own escape. I don’t think he wanted to do it, but the guy was freaking out, and didn’t leave him any choice. Do we need to see regret when James Bond kills someone? It’s part of the job description.

Er, weren’t they tasking Cassian to kill Galen, not Saw?

Were they? Guess I have to see the movie again! 😉

yeah it was Galen. in either case, your conclusion of needing to see the moving again is not wrong. its the right answer for any question! 😃

Hi, I’m new to all this. Um, is there anywhere I can get these editions already put on Blu-ray, on an actual physical copy? I will actually pay for the labor into the making of the physical copies of the Original Trilogy.

Hi.

The answer is No. As you can imagine, what you are describing would quickly turn into a highly illegal activity.

Even beyond transmitting their facial micromovements (which I think didn’t happen with Tarkin)

yeah, i saw that too which begs the question, did they capture it, but then decide to tweak it by hand later? i get the sense that this is done quite often. Mo-Cap on day of, but constantly tweaked by the wireframe animators after the fact.

burning using bd-r xl or m-discs?

hi thanks for your reply. i had originally started trying to do this project back in january 2016 (almost 1 year ago). but i never really got going back then. i got as far as buying an external pioneer Blu ray burner. the problem back then was simply that life happens. as i got sidetracked with a new job then got a new computer.

so now fast forward to today and im still struggling. heres what ive done so far…

ive downloaded all 3 of the OT films MKV files through jdownloader2.

i also downloaded tmuxer and have tried adding the files and it just keeps saying error…" tmuxer not found". so is there anyway you can tell what im doing wrong?

ps-i even went as far as the next step…i already downloaded and installed IMGburn

thanks for any help you may provide.

Regards, joey

thanks for the reply. sorry for posting in the wrong area. im using “copyto 5” and when i go to set up the mkv files for burning it states the file is too large (approx 32gb)? does anyone recommend another open source or free burning software in order to burn the files to bd-r?

any help is greatly appreciated.

they should fit just fine on 25GB or larger BD-R. What exactly are you running into issues with?

(Also, this should probably go in the How-To section of the site, where there are some topics that might have answers for you)

such as:
http://originaltrilogy.com/topic/Burning-the-Despecialized-to-Blu-Ray/id/46433

JEDIT: and Merry Christmas to you too!

i don’t know copy to 5, but from a google search, it looks like you are trying to use software that is meant for burning do a 5gb dvd… not the same as BD (blu-ray disc). Pretty sure that is your problem.

Follow the link i gave you before, they talk you through using tsmuxer to create a blu-ray disk image (iso), and then you can burn that to a BD-R using standard image burning software, such as imgburn

have you tried following these steps: http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/convert_mkv_to_avchd_for_ps3_and_blu-ray.cfm

when you download tsmuxer, make sure you extract the entire rar, and run the program from that directory (With the other extracted files). It almost sounds like you just ‘opened’ the rar and double clicked on the exe, which would only extract that one file into a temporary directory and run it from there, so of course it can’t find the other files that are still in the rar archive :p

Hello, Ive encountered a problem and I wonder if anyone can help. Ive successfully downloaded and extracted both a new hope and jedi but when trying to extract empire j downloader encounters an extraction error.

Most likely one of the parts is not completely downloaded, or is not downloaded at all. You should be getting an indication of which part caused the error?

Thank you for uploading this!

Please could someone advise me the tools necessary to convert the original Grindhouse ISO (Blu-ray compatible) so that it uses Dreamaster’s video file?

I’d like to be able to burn it to disc and play it on my standalone player.

Bluto

well, that depends on how Dreamaster encoded this, if it is still a blu-ray compliant x264 stream it should be pretty straight forward… (ish)

Must add that I accidentaly forgot to remove the saturation increase I used during one of the tests (simply forgot to add a # to the script), so the regraded version is obviously over saturated… I can fix it and post new comparisons, if someone thinks it could be an interesting topic.

i was going to say, there is no way that right side is right. the left side looks like what i recall from the theater.

I understand what you mean. My [PM sent.] postings were supposed to be a helpful indicator for other forum members that these link requests were taken care of. I simply wanted to prevent that a new forum member gets confused by multiple Private Topic invites. Maybe i was too ambitious in that case. I’ll stop these [PM sent.] postings asap.

ask the person to edit their request post, and indicate the request is no longer needed? good resolution. 😃
