There is no way that i am aware of to fight dirty. I imagine that SilverWook is just feeling frustrated, as are many of us.
The only possible fix is to make it easier to download the source files for free, but that is legally fraught.
And if you look at any of the njvc threads, you can quickly understand that burning blu-ray discs is a not-so-easy task for the average user. If you don’t know what you are doing, or go cheap on the media, you will burn through lots of money before you do it right.
So then the only possible fix is to go around handing out high quality, pre-burned discs, for free. but that is also legally fraught.
so, in my opinion, there is nothing to be done.

There is also weight consideration. Some books are very heavy and an e-reader and hold a lot of books, much more than one could carry in their hands. But there is just something about a physical book. For example, an e-book could not replace a physical book from my father’s personal library. Also I would not want an e-Bible. I want a physical Bible. I want my Bible in leather cover with gold gilding, not some impersonal text on a kindle.
I am neutral on this issue, but redirect respect both sides of the argument.

I admit there is something… tangible to a physical book that inherently feels superior to digital.
I just can’t stand using a digital device for reading. I think it comes down to two things:
I rely on the physical space of a book, being able to know where i am on a page, etc. and that doesn’t translate over to a digital device with scrolling.
current screen tech is just not as relaxing on the eyes. i have hope for e-ink type displays, but the tech still isnt’ there. I don’t know how much of a conditioned thing this, vs real. but it still is an issue for me.
