Aalenfae's PREQUEL TRILOGY (Heavily delayed - computer exploded)

On the topic of the seismic charges, I've always thought the idea was cool, but never liked the blue shockwave. I was wondering what it would look like if you tried to remove the colour altogether (to kind of make it look like a ripple in space or something to that effect).

A very crude and quick attempt at illustrating what I was thinking:

Sports...are also highly symbolic war game.s If you think that's lost on world leaders, you're crazy. So, right off the bat, it's presumptuous to assume that the Olympics are about fostering peace. Maybe on the surface, but politics is about claiming to foster peace while you prepare for war. Peacekeeper missile, anyone?

You don't foster peace between nations by beating them in a physical competition. My strongest memory about the Olympics, growing up in the 80s, is people cheering for the US to beat those commie bastards in the USSR.

As you so astutely pointed out, sports are indeed a modern-day way of releasing our innate warlike behaviours. But does that make them a bad thing? Is it really that harmful competing with other countries in a non-violent, non-lethal way, with no real life repercussions?

Imperial Officer: Lord Vader...

Vader: Mm-hmm?

Vader: Yakety-yak, don't talk back.... nah, nah, nah, nah, nah...

Admiral Motti: Don't try to frighten us with your sorcerer's ways, Lord Vader.

ALLOL :)

I really shouldn't have watched that while at work... impossible not to laugh. Thanks for sharing Kamalayka.

Ray Bradbury RIP.
Time

Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles is one of my favourite sci-fi novels; I was thoroughly impressed by its scope and the way it explored the issues surrounding colonization and cultural eradication. The episodic nature in which it is written reminds me very much of Asimov's I, Robot.

Whenever I'm asked which authors make for a good introduction to the sci-fi genre, I always say to start with the "A, B, Cs": Asimov, Bradbury, and Clarke.

I'm glad to see he left such a rich legacy behind... makes me think I really should get around to reading Fahrenheit 451 one of these days.

Disturbing.

On a lighter note, scrolling down that page, I came across this amusing bit of humour:

Imagine masses of drooling creatures slinking through the streets in raggedy business suits, oblivious to reality and only seeking to feed on the innocent masses...

Oh wait, that's every day on Wall Street.

Any plans to use the blooper on the transport where Hayden's soup is too hot?

No. Unfortunately the sound is only 2.0 and the Cantina Band song plays over all of the blooper clips, so none of the audio from those clips is useable.

Could you just overlay the Cantina Band music over the entire scene so that the blooper outtake blends in audio-wise? I think it would add a certain ridiculousness to the whole moment.

Also, would it really matter that much that the audio is in 2.0? I don't have surround myself, but wouldn't the stereo signal just get distributed amongst the 4/5/6 speakers?

STAR WARS: EP V "REVISITED EDITION"ADYWAN - 12GB 1080p MP4 VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

[2 cents]

I really don't have a problem with the newly-added readouts on Vader's viewscreen. I like the vertically-scrolling text on the right the best, but the little oscillating circle up top and the oval-shaped readout on the left look equally fine to my eye.

As for the new Rebel control room screens... very cool :) They strike the perfect balance between updating the tech while still making it look like retro Star Wars.

Quick question:

I came across this photo in another forum which shows the scope missing from Leia's blaster:

I checked the OP and fix #186 states this being fixed, but in the Bespin Escape clip shared awhile back, the scope was still missing. Is this fix that just didn't make it into that preview clip?

And, btw, great clip Ady. Thanks for sharing.
