Hopefully it wasn't laser rot.

Hopefully it wasn't laser rot.
Well, it's in there, but are there other sources that have the same thing, and if so, at what frame?
This bootleg contains the original end credits , and has the "tight" John Williams credit, as well. Might any one of you check and see if it has the "cloudy" X-Wing takeoff matte?

I believe this tear is also on Harmy's The Empire Strikes Back Despecialized Edition, and on Star Wars Despecialized Edition v1.0, but that was fixed in v2.0.
Which tear?
The tear that runs across the 0 in the Fox logo at the start of Episode IV in the GOUT.

It makes you feel that the original theatrical presentation was from this bootleg tape, in this case, the master tape used for this DVD.
Then we have raided the lost Ark.
Then yes, we totally have.
Cue marks around 19:40, 39:01, & 39:09 on the first DVD, and around 01:54, 02:02, 20:36, & 20:44 on the second DVD. tell me if I missed some by PM'ing me.

Found it! It's on frame 233 in the GOUT. I now need a screenshot of that frame. Anyone else know if other sources have this tear, and if so, what frame?
I'm still finding out the source frame from it, so the frame should be available soon. AntcuFaalb, I'll PM you when the frame is up.
Post anything you want here, like jokes, gags, etc.
Holy crap! I'm up for myspleen, torrents, AND usenet, all at the same time!
Awesome! I would also like it on usenet too.
It better be, or I'll be losing my marbles over this!
*crickets*
I am, as a matter of fact. Thank you :)
Bump.
I would love to see the whole movie with everyone having purple skin tones, like Image 3 on post 140. It would be called Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope Purple Face Edition.
Any updates?
Bump.
Sure, bumping it now. :) EDIT: OK, guys, you are starting to give me a headache because you guys redirected me to a thread from this year, but that's alright. And let's not derail this thread, ok?
Listened to that mono mix... and it's OMG quality.
Making sure I am careful on all posts from this one.
Neither, but I don't have any capture cards, or ANYTHING to work with for preservations, but I see the level of quality that this site has, and I am toughening up my expectations on posts like this one, as well as putting up preservations of lost media and different official and TV network transfers.
A lot, and more on the way!
