So, I use Plex. Yes. And? I like digital media. I have for the last 15 years. Why is it annoying for me to reference now and then that I don’t really need to bother with discs, with regard to fan edits, because I don’t like physical anyway?

I’ve only used Plex for a little over 2 years now, but I’ve been using other methods before then. *shrug* Big deal? I use a media server. So what?

I do not bring it up in every post. I posted a random gif (or three) in Random Gifs, and I mentioned people hating on the show in reference to the OP. It’s you guys who keep talking about it.

It’s a cartoon. Okay, I watched cartoons when I was a kid, like ThunderCats, or Ninja Turtles. I even had a schedule I set for myself on Saturday mornings back then so that, of our 2 VCRs, one was programmed to record certain shows; the other would record different ones; and I would watch the rest live.

It’s just a cartoon with interesting characters, an entertaining storyline, and a positive message. Simple as that.

The OP is about Star Wars fans who hate on people for liking things like TFA. It’s not the liking of only TOS that makes one not a fan of the franchise; it’s the bitching about the rest of the content.

You can’t legitimately say you’re a fan of something while in the same breath complain about how 92.5% of it blows goats.

I’m a fan of TOS - all three seasons, along with the early 70’s animated series - which I consider to be the missing two seasons of the original five year mission.

I have no interest in anything that came after - every feature film (TWOK included) and series spin-off. All unwatchable dreck, IMO.

Which is fine. It’s somewhat different, to me, to say you’re a fan of The Original Series than to say you’re a fan of the franchise in general and yet only like 10.8% of the content.

(That 10.8% being 79 TOS episodes of the 703 episodes from TOS to ENT, plus 26 which is each film twice if you count them as two-part episodes.)
