You guys, I really hate being picked on. I was a pretty nerdy guy back when in school, and I got picked on rather frequently.

I do not take well to being mocked. Even if it is in jest. And if I get angry and it makes people laugh, then it fuels my frustration for not being respected or taken seriously, until I blow up in response. And then I seethe for a long time afterward before I can cool off.

I know it might be considered a problem, but it’s who I am. I can not change it.

You know, plenty of people I know in real life think it odd of me to know as much about Star Wars as I do. But I have to explain to them that I only know nitpicky things about Star Wars because I hang out here and other people here mention them, especially in Ady’s and Harmy’s threads.

Well, for one thing, I’m not a Brony. I consider Bronies to be a part of the fandom in the same way “Trekkies” are. In that eccentric extra-dose-of-nerd sort of way. I am also not a Trekkie.

I like more than just MLP, you know. It doesn’t consume my thoughts. It’s not my favorite show ever. I do like other things. Just also that. Big freaking deal. If you don’t understand why and you know you’re not going to, then just leave it alone.

I would like to point out that I left the forums for several hours and yet you guys kept talking about MLP or talked about talking about it.

Let people like what they like and stop mocking and ridiculing them for it.

Because I have over 300 movies and over 30 TV series on it. Many with special features which I ripped and organized myself. Manually.

It’s not as easy as pushing a button. It’s the same thing as Netflix only you’re using Netflix’s media servers instead of your own. Someone had to organize all of that. To tell it what the poster art is, what the background wallpaper is, what the episode names are, and to make sure that they’re all named and numbered properly.

But you wouldn’t know that, so no, if you used Plex or Emby or Kodi, it wasn’t your server. Whosever server it was had to fix it themselves. It takes time and effort. If it’s not your job and you enjoy doing it, it’s a hobby.
