The last few days here are another indication why I don’t have (nor ever had) many friends. And even fewer close friends.
And I have no idea what to do about it.

I guess don’t like it when people complain about things not working right when the problem really is user error or that they haven’t given themselves enough time to learn how to use it.
I’d say it’s none of my business except you are the one who brought it up…do you think that she likes when you complain about her in a very public internet forum?
This isn’t very public. Neither she nor anyone else I know in real life visits the social places online that I visit outside of Facebook. She will not read this. No one I know in real life will read this, even though my family knows I come here regularly.
Now then, my wife has been enjoying watching a Let’s Play of Stardew Valley lately. We’ve been watching it because I’m playing it on my Switch. She liked the game enough that she wanted me to purchase it for her on PC so she could play it on her laptop.
Here’s the thing though: she doesn’t play video games that aren’t point-and-click or smartphone games. She plays RuneScape a lot, which is largely mouse-based. So she got frustrated pretty quickly with not knowing how to use WASD+mouse controls. Fortunately the (360) controller layout is a bit simpler, but she still was complaining about the controls being wonky for her.

I’m sure you have your eccentricities too, Frink. Doesn’t justify mine being mocked.
Switching topics, I hate when my dad calls me with computer problems. He has a really short temper with computers when they aren’t functioning to his expectations, and it annoys me to sit there and listen to him rant about how he wants to “throw this machine out the window”. That attitude doesn’t help me fix it any faster.

Perhaps, but isn’t it generally the case for people who bully, just in a general sense? They have personal inadequacies which which they can’t cope, and so they take it out on other people by making themselves feel superior?

I was actually replying to the OP (ie. Frink). I hadn’t read the recent conversation. I can’t tell if you knew that already, mfm, when you replied to me replying to Frink.
While at times you, Frink, are just humorously sarcastic, other times you have been known to take it too far. You can also be rather opinionated and your response to opinion you don’t agree with can have the capacity to (wrongly?) come off as ridicule rather than a joke.

If you can’t respect other people for having harmless media consumption preferences that you don’t share, I imagine that would say something about your ability to make lasting, fulfilling relationships with anyone in real life.
Seriously, if you actually want to know the underlying reason why people have a particular opinion about or affinity for something, you would ask serious questions; or you would ask follow up questions to the initial answers given. You would not instead produce variations on a theme and ask the same exact question with a different wording.
Therefore, you really do not have the slightest interest in acquiring a sufficiently acceptable answer from me, nor can you be bothered with having a mature conversation in general.
