FanFiltration of the Planet of the Apes RELEASE THREAD (cancelled project - official product released)
Time
Dude, just don't puss out on the end of BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES. That whole "night of the fires" part of the speech just doesn't belong there. The scene should end "Is upon you... NOW!" You can hear McDowall's voice change during that extra "softening" bit. Here Ceasar really backs off.

Kill Bill - The Whole Bloody Affair - QtheGaijin Fan Edit (Released)

I found this interesting:

"There was no permission given for 'Kill Bill'," Koike remarked in passing. He enjoyed the homage to his work in the animated sequence, but would have liked if he had been asked for permission by the producers. He says he would love to give permission for that sort of thing if the producers would ask him.

Seems like a lot of the postings here have become reviews of the work that Boon's done -- so, allow me to put in my two cents.

I saw the original film theatrically and was completely unimpressed -- the idea of the Nexus just never cut it for me and I'm tired of seeig the Enterprise destroyed. Likewise, I didn't understand why Picard would choose to go to the moment in time that he did -- why not give himself a few days rather than a few minutes. Blah, blah, blah.

So, it took quite a leap of faith to download Boon's version -- how could he eliminate an integral part of the film - James T. Kirk? Curiosity got the best of me, and I'm so glad it did.

KIRKLESS is one of the most skilled fan edits that I've seen -- taking out major sections rather than adding in deleted scenes. And, to make a long story short; it works. There are still some logic gaps that come straight from the script but the removal of Kirk makes the movie move a lot faster and keeps it far more interesting. Now, rather than having a glaring hole in my ST collection -- 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8.... I can fit GENERATIONS (KIRKLESS GENERATIONS) in to that slot without hesitation.

Great job, Boon. I'm excited to see this revamp of KIRKLESS and am downloading it right now.
