4:3(1.33:1) to 16:9 question
Time

The only downside on the 1.66:1 images is to not crop off any of the frame when doing so. I've resorted to leaving tiny black bars around the top and bottom edges so that nothing is cropped off. The problem with scaling these images is that every time I move the cursor either the very top or very bottom of the frame will go out of focus.

Help: looking for... 1997 SE NTSC capture with bitperfect 5.1 audio

I have the SE 1997 Japan Laserdisc set and I used the red/white RCA in to record the audio when I captured the movies but I'm guessing that can't help you, can it?  What I've got is more like Dolby Stereo right?

If the track was set to digital, then you have a slightly down converted signal of the Dolby Surround encoded PCM.

Double Indemnity, Sunset Blvd., Ace in the Hole

Bit of a Wilder binge, eh? ;-) Those are all absolutely essential films! Sunset Blvd is in my Top 10.

Yep. I've been on a noir kick and you always have to include Billy.  Honestly, I now think Ace in the Hole might be the definitive Wilder film.

Darth Editous captured the 5.1 some time ago, but I don't have it all anymore. I personally have been working on my own conversion of these in my spare time, but they're nowhere near done nor do they have 5.1. Dark_Jedi's 97SE V2 uses the 5.1 and is synced to the broadcast versions. (which are superior to the LDs) That should be released sometime soon. Otherwise Lee Thorogood's 97SE set looks great but that's in PAL.

Not sure about bitperfect-they should be-DE's 5.1 files were AC3 but they were the full 384 kbp/s.
