I haven't yet watched any of your edits but they sound very very promising and I am going to do so soon. Keep up the great work. What I like especially is that you don't stop where others do: just the movie and that's it. Although it may be hard to believe for Americans, there is a world outside the States ;-) and we love movies the same way you do (probably). For the non-english-native-speakers subtitles are very important (I have heard that listening to David Duchovny and not having subtitles available is even hard for native speakers). It is enough to add english subtitles, just to be able to read what you hear. Also a nice menu and some Extras are very nice especially for collectors. You seem to be eager to give people more, so I just want to ask you, to not forget about non-Americans. If you don't want to add subtitles or don't have the time to do so, I may be of help here and hereby offer my services.

Although I love originaltrilogy.com, since I discovered it, because for someone being interested in fan edits this is the place to be, I always found this place to be not fitting perfectly. When our first editions were out, I used to look for fan edits, fanmade editions, fanmade videos, etc, and there always was originaltrilogy among the pages. But since this seemed to be a Star Wars only place I did not even take a look. And still being not to much interested in Star Wars (did I really write that????) makes me feel kind of misplaced. Don't get me wrong here, because I really love this place. It is just that my group is not making non-star-wars-fan-edits. We are creating fan edits. One other thing is, since there won't be any more Star Wars movies coming out, the number of fan edits will decrease and so will the number of visitors for this page, whose main reason is of course Star Wars projects. Wasn't Jay writing somewhere he already had in mind closing this page down? This is the only place. And I definetly think this nice underground community needs more.

great covers. I love the first one and especially how you added "the matrix without zion" to the matrix code. And one more thing: man, you are fast!!! I am very proud of having these covers included in the forthcoming torrent. Although the CBB group don't owe any rights or anything at all about deZIONized it is still our baby and we care for how it is treated. There is a really bad DVD cover for deZIONized on cdcovers.cc and far to many people have this one (the same people that downloaded it as wmv re-encode, made someone else who wanted just to have a small file). Still, these covers here are all worthy IMHO to be a cover for this edition. Superb.

WOOOOOOOW! I feel like John Travolta as Castor when he meets Nicolas Cage as Archer, who both changed their face to look like the other and he says: Jeez, you're looking good!
It looks very special and totally different to the one we made. Great work! I didn't know you had such hidden talents... (and btw. thank you for ONE zero only.... I am pretty sure we will never reach 100). Perhaps you could also create a cover art for DeZIONized... Anyway, I have included the new cover to the torrent file and once you upload High Tension to myspleen it would be nice to have this there as well.

We just finished the picture edit for our War of the worlds edition and for the first time, we will include material from 4 other movies into this one. The movie length will be 92 minutes. For those interested here is a short cut list, it is of course a major spoiler:

War of the worlds extinctive cut - changes

- removed intro sequence and Morgan Freeman speech - we love MF but his speech was pathetic and to much 50s style. We want our movie to have a today feeling, no fairytale stuff and no envious aliens. Of course they want our planet, but they haven't been waiting and watching. We were just next on the list.

- Added "approaching earth" scene from Independence Day - it looks just better than the earth scene in Wotw.

- removed Ray racing through the streets when he is heading home - Tom Cruise showing off. No one would drive that way and risk his license like that. The scene was meant to introduce Ray's character, but we do not want him like that. He is an a-hole anyway.

- removed Harlon completely from the movie - sorry Tim Robbins, you did not fit into our edition, we couldn't believe your madness and we definetly did not want Ray to kill you.

- removed Ray arriving in Boston scene - there will be no Boston only as a dream of Ray.

- removed soldiers fighting the tripods scenes - soldiers will never be able to battle the tripods and win.

- removed people leaving the tunnel - the tunnel is not Greenbrier bunker facility in White Sulphur Springs but it's the ARK in Missouri and has just one exit

- added the ark scenes from Deep Impact - that is where Ray goes, that is where everybody goes who does not want to die.

- added Nuclear War from Terminator 2 and Terminator 3 - our grande finale, making the earth unusable for anyone, even aliens removed Morgan Freeman speech from the ending and played the final destruction shots vice versa - the first green seed is our first sign of life that is about to spread anew. Maybe some people are still alive.

- moved Boston from the end to after the credits - it is a dream of Ray, once to be a hero.

Now all that is missing is: the sound, the extras, the subtitles, the menus, the DVD cover and the trailer for this edit.

Hey, you are asking for top secret details... But is there a surprise to spoil anyway? "The Essence of the ring" will be all 3 movies as one. It will be just and only Frodo's voyage, as he is the one to end Sauron's reign no matter what the others do. So what to expect? No big battles, no vast armies, except for orks in Mordor, no ents at all, a lot of Gollum, no Saruman. But why to do this, since Lord of the rings is perfet? Well, just to enjoy a part of it from a diferent perspective. But this edit is just an idea yet, we have about 5 other editions to be made first.

...actually it looks as if they are all gone again. But I am checking all the releases from time to time and whenever there are at least 5 people leeching, I will seed. Now that was one major advantage of both emule and kazaa, to just leave the files on your PC without having to worry about your bandwith or download or upload speed. I am truly sorry for anyone who cannot download our movies, still I am very dependent here on others to help. In about 4 weeks Rikter will start uploading CBB editions to myspleen. You will get them all. And just one more thing. Kirkless Generations will be get it's second edition next year, offering better image quality, NTSC 16:9, new intro, plenty of specials and of course a new DVD cover.

I think since editing most of the time means taking something away and the latin preposition "DE" means "reduced" or "minus" it is quite clear to name it that way. A fitting title is hard to be found anyway and it should be short to be remembered. The good thing about a "de-d" title is that you can perfectly google for it. One CBB edition is named "High Tension Minus One Edit"... googling for that really makes no sense and believe me I did that a lot, to check for reactions.
