THE FAN EDIT CONTEST HAS A WINNER !!! REVIEWS IN OFF TOPIC FORUM
Time
At least we all had some fun in finally getting to read some emotion. Karyudo, thanks for your statement, I think you did pretty well there, but of course I don't think that being loved or hated by my comments has anything to do with your scores. The reason for me to complain about one person delaying the entire contest was that no one else did it and I felt that this had to be said. And after reading the posts that were made after, I don't regret it. Maybe even you feel better since things were finally spoken about.

yes, it is a romantic comedy, a chick-flick and no legend of any kind, but it is one of these movies that can make you feel good. We took out most of the kiddie humor scenes and put in two of the deleted scenes.

movie length: 1:27:47
original length: 1:33:47

Sometimes I just don't like to be a nice and even nicer person all the time. I mean, by all means, I don't even know karyudo, so why not say that you had way enough time to fulfil a duty you signed in for. We are not talking days here, we are talking about months. This is just a shame. I guess now all the nice guys here will attack me for being so rude, but go ahead, I am convinced you are not half that nice if we knew you in person anyway. As participant of this contest I want to say that this judge is not doing his duty right. Yes, you signed in freely, but since then you are obliged to do what you gave your word for, at least until it is finished.

oh yeah! ... this ending kept us really busy. The alternate ending on the DVD features incomplete CGI effects and looked really bad, but still this ending was much closer to what we wanted. I am really glad this project is over When Buddhists' say "the way is the goal" they definetly do not mean film editing.

... and actually that was one of the major reason why "Doomed..." went into the contest. It was so much work and it differs so much from the original, so I thought this would be very fitting for a contest about fan edits.

Thank you so much, DJ. ...other kids, now why would they do that??? anyway, it explains pretty much the one of five star rting on amazon.de. I'm on it DJ, it seems to work fine.

Now I have downloaded and watched it (sorry can't see this with you this time). Thanx again. If the boy was better casted it might be an idea to use the alternate scenes, but not like this. The effect shot with Garner Ruffalo jumping up and down is weak!!! Still it is fabuloso to have seen it once and we might add it as an extra on our edition (and name you in the credits).

Help: looking for... Where can I find "The Matrix: DEZIONIZED" by CBB?
Time
....converted to PAL , very funny. Although it may be hard to believe, byakko, there is a world outside the US. One minor part is Europe and the TV norm there is PAL. While almost all PAL DVD players can handle NTSC with no problem at all, this is very different with NTSC DVD players. And since the CBB group has realized that, we convert our edition from PAL to NTSC.

Still an NTSC edition of DeZIONized is planned, but the group is still arguing about the changes this edition will contain compared to the PAL edition. Main theme of discussion is, if the fighting and action sequences should be reduced in time for improved pacing and improved likeliness for women to enjoy the edit (sounds strange but is true).

Yes, High Tension MOE is a tough one. My german friends always ask me:" When is it your group is finally editing a movie in German" and I always reply: "there is already one. But it is way to shocking for you and I am afraid you might think I am a very strange guy if I give it to you." While this statement would probably make an American say: "Dude, gimme that f***ing DVD." It actually stops most Germans above 25. And one thing for sure. I am dead serious here. This movie is not for the faint of heart.
