YES!!!

KIKRLESS GENERATIONS is a pretty good title, except for that tiny town in Scotland, called Kirkless, that made googling for Kirkless generations kind of difficult.

It will be about the same edit as before anyway. I am not so sure about the languages, but I think we can keep them all. Ehm, does anyone here want hungarian or czech language?

Since our new project Blade 3 - behead the king edition is still in an extensive planning phase, we will meanwhile finally make a hq edit out of one of our finest projects so far: Star Trek Generations without J.T.Kirk. We will renew the entire intro sequence, as well as the end credits, the overall picture and sound quality will be much improved (this time in 16:9 NTSC), there will be a new showdown finale and an overworked plot, there will be new and better menus, new trailer and deleted scenes. Finally this is going to be the edit it should have always been. We also require new cover art for this one. So, if you liek Star Trek the next generation or just love SF movies and feel inspired, go ahead and create a nice cover. PM me for DVD details.

The idea: J.T.Kirk completely spoiled this movie, especially in the Nexus scenes, his death is unworthy of a legend anyway and so we decided to keep him from ever appearing in the movie. So, our GENERATIONS is just a Next Generation movie, or maybe a double episode (although we will not integrate the TV-show intro this time, we got something way better). Picard will have to face time as a predator and he alone can defeat the evil genius Dr. Soren.
The movie closes all historical gaps between "all good things" amd "First Contact".

Proposed project: Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV show)

Absolutely!!!! Well,, not if you are satisfied with the result for yourself and don't care for the opinion of your "fans". When my group released Matrix deZIONized we got incredible feedback and that somehow changed my way of thinking, since I really like feedback a lot (who wonders). But our next edit was hardly recognized and a tough lesson to learn: it isn't us the people are interested in, it is only the movies. Same happened here: when I found OT, I was excited by the many people willing to talk about fanedits, but soon had to realize that they were not really discussing edits. Don't depend on feedback and outward input! People, who discuss your projects and stay truly interested are rare. I was offered help by about 50 people (not just from the OT community) and I never turned down anyone. Still not even 10% finally do what they offer to help you with. Sounds frustrated? Well, it partly is, but more it is a realistic point of view. You are the artist, you make the art, the audience watches or watches not.

I guess if you are going to start this project the time for a 400 gb harddrive has come.

I watched all Buffy episodes, but only once and I remember not much of it. I have the entire DVD collection (which is a nice mixup of RC1, RC2 and RC3 discs) and I wanted to watch it again anyway. Since my favorite shows (prison break, lost, 24) will take a break soon, there is the time to finally get back to good old Buffy.

turning every season of BTVS into a movie... dude, you are a true worker, this is the biggest project I have yet heard of. But I can imagine it, just keeping the main story... Of course this means a totally different feel to Buffy, but that does not have to be worse, although some great episodes like HUSH cannot be included. I would definetly love to see it.

The Lord of the Rings - Special Abridged Edition (Released)

My English is sometimes just to bad. I will try to explain: the picture of the avi looks like frames are missing, especially when there are scenes with lots of movement, it looks like stop and go. As I said before, I tried to watch on 3 players and had the same problem all teh time so I think it is in the movie and not just my PC. Of course I know the problem, it is connected with encoding and re-encoding adn turning mpeg to divx and xvid and changing framerates. Our first version of CREASY (man on fire fanedit) was taken from the divx avi as source and it looked far worse than your edit in being stop and go. The jerkiness I meant was an unclean picture especially in scenes with strong contrast.

players I used:
media player classic 6.4.9.0
Nero showtime
Cyberlink Power DVD 6

and just to verify vlc 8.1

Info: The thief and the cobbler - the new dress

Current plan is to insert scenes from the other Blade movies especially for a new intro. We are currently still considering ideas, but the movie will start with an intro drawing a connection with the 2 predecessors: since Blade 1 the vampires have been trying to find a solution for their main weakness: daylight. Our edit will focus more on dracula and his being pureblooded and the beginning and end of it all.
We do want to do more than just delete a few scenes, we want to change the story. Let's see what can be done. If you got ideas, this is the right place and time to toss them around. Everything is possible.
One more thing for sure: since this edit will require heavy sound editing there will be only English language.

Maybe you know a good vampire movie and scenes we could integrate into a Blade-fitting storyline.

I took a first look at ten minutes of your edit. Sound editing is great, also is the editing of the movie. Still I would love to get my hands on a DVD version of this, because I expect much better quality. The avi picture is kind of jerky and it shakes with movement (I tried 3 different players with the same result). The avi is ok for a preview but not to be burned on a DVD, at least not on my system.
