The signature may be deliberately provocative, but it contains no forbidden links and is about a truth no one likes here. How else will you have a say against things that are just not to be tolerated? This OFF TOPIC forum is the one place to handle the entire matter, where even the ones in charge say something. I think this is not so OFF TOPIC at all, never was. Interesting is that people who are part of something for a long time, do have the feeling they rightfully have a say when it comes to deciding urgent or difficult matters. I think they are right. That's what community is about.
Well, let's see it this way. He made the book to his likings. Now it is even more unique than ever before. Perhaps he could next time use a scissor instead of just ripping it and maybe discuss his editing first with his parents. Does he know, you do what you do?
I absolutely agree on Signs. it was a religious movie about fate and faith, not an Alien invasion movie. The Aliens were jsut the addition to it to give this a context. I love Signs the way it is.
And I think we did work pretty well together and without you our WOTW would not have been what it later on was. You had plenty of really good ideas, btu there we are in the true world of film business. The final decision is to the producer. I know there are things about this edit that bother me and most of it is quality based, I am not satisfied with the transitions in the cellar, I don't like the colours from Deep Impact and those stupid interlacing and deinterlacing problems... But I never bothered about the subtitles. I see the problem more in the change of perspective. My ending moves away from Ray, but the movie was with him for the entire time. This causes a serious break IMHO. Unfortunately I had no more scenes with Ray, which I could use.
IRANTANPLAN, it sounds as if you want to make a fanedit of a fanedit...hehe.. I guess that has never been done before, But I am proud if our project was the inspiration for that.
you are just as a good cheese, Warbler, the older the tastier. I always thought 29 is a great age, but only for women. They are still in their 20s, but have the experience form almost the 30s... perfect.
World peace? reminds me of a joke, iwill try to translate: A man walks along a small road into the woods. Suddenly he finds a strange botle and sees, there is a Genie in it. So he opens the bottle. The Genie pops out and looks very tired at the man and utters:"uh, not again. What is it, pal?" "I found you, you must grant me 3 wishes!" cries the man in excitement. "Dude!" says the genie, "I am a very old genie.. so make it one wish and off you go, comprende?" The man starts to think. Then he says "Ok, look at this here, this is a map of the world. I marked the places where they are currently at war with red circles. Make it stop." The genie sighs big time. Then he says: " Dude, that is a tough wish. Can't you think of somehting smaller?" The man thinks again. "Ok", he says, "back there, where I came form is my wife sitting in my car, complaining about... actually I have no idea what about, but nevermind. Now she is not that pretty. Could you perhaps add a bit here and there and take away a bit there and there, you know what I mean?" "Let me take a look", says the genie and off he goes. 20 minutes later he returns and says: "Dude, show me that map again, will you?"
r u German, IRANTANPLAN? reminds ma of a nice dubbing thing in "5th element". When the aliens arrive the first time, the archeologist says in English: "Are you German?" and in the dubbed German version he says: "Are you Aliens?" funny. Isn't it?
yeah, I for one like to colelct DVDs in as few cases as possible to be able to put them somewhere. I haven't counte dmy DVD stash yet, but I think I have about 400 to 500 DVDs and absolutely no room to present them, although these are just the good ones (of course). I collect them in 10 DVD cases sorted by artist or tv show, wherever possible. Look great. My 2 10case DVD boxes for Clint Eatwood are just a view, but only on 4 inches instead of 12 for all 16 movies.
Will finish the cover asap and then ceate disc art. Any particular wishes?
You may also try NOT to re-encode it AND use either DVD-Lab or for beginners: TMPEG DVD author. Most DVD players can handle various mpg formats. you may just want to give it a try. This way you will not lose any quality. And if TMPEG DVD author says it accepts it, then it will probably be playable in your DVD-Player.
well, it is not that I have too much time, actually I currently have no time at all for anything, but I enjoy making cover art currently and do it to take a break from what I do besides.
I hate that my dog was castrated today. Yes, he was a dominant, barking, pee-at-every-tree kind of dog-man... but I fear he might lose his character now... and if that is true, his character was attached to his balls obviously.
