Incidentally, anyone know how I can keep Vegas from applying the distortion effect to the FF text?
Make the FF text separate from the actual effect and place it one line above the effect on your movies timeline. I think that should do it. That should place the fast forwarding effect behind the text.
Or if you added both effects to the same video clip. Click the green event fx tab (on the right hand side of that clip) that lets you open the window to see what effects you added to that clip. On the top of that window all your fxs you added will have little tabs. Make sure the text tab is first (or to the left.) Its should then place that text before the squiggly effect.
Last clip is perfect. Maybe have him say "this is jedi buisness" while he brushes himself off, if you can.
Matter of fact. "This is Jedi Business, go back to your drinks" should be used as often as you can.

Yeah, that shouldn't be a problem to get some of the clips back up. The original files that were uploaded to youtube are no longer on my comp tho. So I'll have to re-render clips. Which will be good cause I'm now dealing with 1080p. If I cannot find a youtube type place that can handle the quality. Ill post them up to a file sharing site. Will be a bit, but I'll do it when I can.
Hehe. It's not dead guys. It's a time issue. Replacing old footage and still special fx shots to be done. Wish it could go faster, but a man has to do what a man has to do :) ATM this mans been a bit busy. It'll get there for sure tho. Thanks for staying interested in the work tho. It means alot.

I love the way this clip worked out, but i think it needs one last jab of funny right at the end. So why not have Anakins mouth move and sub in a wookie growl right before the end. Then finish with Mace with his hand on his chin.
Trying out some different ideas. I'll see how this one pans out.
Thanks for the very kind words Imposter. It makes it all the more enjoyable to work on something like this after reading comments such as yours. Soon as this is completed. I will be making posts on my Youtube account, at FE.org as well as right here at OT.com.
I also caved in and signed up for a twitter account and I'm thinking about making a second Facebook account dedicated to just this edit. Once those are up and running I will post details here.
A friend of mine was also interested in making me a regular on his blogging site. I would perhaps take sections of the edit and break down the why and how of those sections. It would be a place for me to explain why certain editing choices were made, and also how alot of the FX work was done. I'm really interested in something like this. So that others can maybe watch what I did, how I did it and hopefully have more ideas spawn from that for their edits.

Ok, so no intermission, but how about....
OK, I have to admit that after watching this clip a few times on my TV, I think the light being cast on Grievous is far to bright so I'm working in another tweek. For the next pass, I'm having the lights in the room dim as the Holo pops up. Already I think it looks alot better and helps set a far more sinister tone.
I get the idea that Holo's in Star Wars are like cell phones. While almost everone has one, they all seem to have a different quality from one to the next.

Indeed. Already took a quick mockup stab at this. Just something to get the basic look of the shot established. This will get alot more tweeking to help it blend in with the surrounding shots. Added lights and haze will be added to bring this to life.

Well the problem with Anakin and Palpatine talking in the senate is the lighting. You can change what's in front of them pretty simple. The problem is with the face shots as they talk. The color tone changes about 200 times. So it's pretty hard to replace the opera with anything, unless it's something that has the color of the room changing every 3 seconds.
One second the background is purple, then its teal, then it's (insert 5 different shades in between). Otherwise I would have done this a very long time ago.
It's a damn good idea tho. Just not possible to make it happen without it being obviously altered
Loaded all the links into JDLer one at a time last night, let it do its thing. It went well for awhile. Stopped here and there, but always restarted. I let it run all last night. When I woke up the download was complete. Ready to give this a viewing right now.

I was trying to have it sound as if it was coming from the droid. So I ran it thru MorphVox Pro with some minor alterations. It was something done quick, so it wasnt perfect.
It's the sound when someone loses on the Price is Right, altered just a bit.
I would need to play with the sound levels, right now I dont have my good headphones at the house.
