Padme's death and the dream sequences are staying, yes. But they all have been changed to better help move the story along and supply Anakin with enough doubt in his head about the Jedi to better explain his turn to the Dark Side.

I thought about taking them out, but the amount that it was able to contribute to the fall to the Dark side, with just a few additions of the right voice overs, was too great.

The weird faces of Anakin as he tries to figure out the mystery after both Dream scenes makes way more sences after the way I reworked them. Also helps the dialogue after both dream scenes. You'll see 8)

 That scene will stay pretty much as it is in the clip. With no talking from the young Jedi. The shots before and after that clip have changed tho.

**A spot from my first draft of the attack on the Jedi Temple**

Right around 5 min 30 second mark. Keep in mind this was the first draft and was done along time ago. Almost a half year ago, in fact.All the parts in this video have changed a ton. Including the actual version that I use of the Imperial March for the attack on the jedi temple. Just wanted to  show you that we're thinking along the same lines. 8)

And I cant state this enough, this was done along time ago. Since then it's all changed a great deal for the better.

I've regained my ability to post now, got the laptop hooked up to the internet, but still going to be a few days until I get the home comp back to running, as I'm still awaiting my motherboard to arrive. Once I have everything restored It will be back to buisness working on the film.

I mended two lines together to get around them.

Thats how I worked around the mention of Midi-chlorians. I dont like them or hate them. But as it's treated in the PT, it's pretty much a pointless plot point that never leads to much of anything. It's open to endless interpretations. Therefore it's not needed. Now if Anakin later found out that Plagueis was his father, then that would be something.

Bah gonna be alittle longer before I can get the next version posted up. Worked on it for 3 hours tonight, only to have the power flicker off and I lost what I did.

 Normaly I save my work like a mad man, but was flying thru it, liking what I saw. I wanted to get thru it so fast, that I never thought to click save even once.

Anyways. I'll be back working on it tomorrow.

Still working on the next cut. Worked on darkening the room, while still allowing the sabers to glow at full light.  I didnt get thru all of the scenes, So I have not watched it in motion yet. But if it comes across half as good as I think it will, I'll still be excited.

Tonight I should have the dark room fighting clips done. If all goes well, I'll start working on reordering the rest of the dialogue.

This all took alittle longer then expected so far, cause I'm also changing Maces saber color at the same time. Thanks to those who offered suggestions. We'll see what I can come up with. 8)

I see. Well I guess I have some time to make up my mind. I'll watch AOTC a few times, and see if anything could become of it. If I couldnt bring anything new to the concept over what JasonN did, then I would pass on the idea. I'll leave that option open then for now.

If I was to go that route, it would mostly be established once I get around to doing Episode 2, Cause sady Poor Dooku gets no screen time and no love in this ROTS.

To be honest I have no clue why Lucas would kill Dooku so quickly. Pretty much the main bad guy from the last film, right? Would make sense to use his esablished bad guy status, and maybe take that to a whole new level.

 I would have loved to see Dooku doing the things General Grievous did. Instead we get a four armed, coughing toy seller. And we have to hear about how Obi and him are old rivals, when with Dooku, we already knew that. Cause we watched it.

But I'm wishing for great things from a man who killed off  Boba Fett with a Three Stooges slapstick joke. Then a burp. (facepalm)

It will all be worked on, and figured out. Like I mentioned before, a few parts will be reintroduced to this scene. When I edit these, sound is normally my last step. Cause as much as these versions change, spending a hour fixing all the audio is a waste of time, untill I'm dead set on what I'm doing visually.

Once everything is layed out video wise, I'll watch the clip with and without the full scream, and make a judgment call then. 8)

The sound as the lights go out is temporary. But it for sure needs a noise to pull off the idea of the power being shut down.

topdawg. I like the idea, but I would far rather have the scene go strait thru. Thanks for the idea tho.

 I've had some major revelations while working on the last pass. With the lights flickering I'll be able to do some of the things that were in my original version of the scene. I had a hard cut of Mace saying the lines, Not yet, and then the senate will decide your fate right after one another. I mended the shots, and while it looked good, it was obvious that I slapped the shots as one. But with the lights flickering I can now re-add that line.

rpvee, Actually I readded the Sith scream after a few people mentioned about maybe keeping it. Thats why you still hear it. 8)

Lightening is out btw. I looked over the shots, and there's not a good enough spot to use it.

I'm going to be toying with adding back in some of the original lines and shots as a few people suggested. (The Jedi reaction to the lights shot) , also maybe adding in some new stuff that I can get away with, now that the lights will be off for a bit more of the scene. Longer the lights are off, more tension. Also I'm going to make the lights flicker as Mace and the Jedi walk thru the hallway. This further shows that this is indeed a planned trap.

Might be a day or two before I get it layed out , but I'll post a clip when I have something worth looking at.

Well I can do lightning no problem, question would be when to use it. I'll look over the scene a bit more, seeing if theres a good place to slip it in.

When I'm working on the next draft Ill be adding more masks also, so it will look far better then.

Working on playing with the lighting in the room right before Palpatine attacks. Took some color out of his face also after the lights come back on. I might have the lights flicker thru most of the saber fight if i can get it done right. Again, this is first draft stuff. And the part of him first pulling out the saber is not darkened yet.

Good thoughts angel, I still have those jedi wipeout scenes redone with new audio so I'll for sure look into it. check your PM btw. I'm headed to bed atm, Long night working at the night club tonight. Good lord I'm tired.

Think I'm going to stick with the Sound effect, I might change it out for something close to it tho. I based it off the sound that the Jedi make when they burst run in TPM, cause I thought it fit pretty well. I might work alittle of the Sith Scream back in tho.

The only other thing I think I'll mess with is flickering the lights on and off as he raises up out of his chair. And flickering them again in between him cutting them down. Keeping the sabers glowing bright all the while. If I can do that, I'll be thrilled.

This version of the scene is ment to shock people, so that they feel and understand how the Jedi must have felt, like WTF!?!?. Thats why no music cues are added. Cause I feel it takes away from the action going on.

Now the Music after the force rush will be cleaned up tho. I kinda did this quick, and was so happy with the results. I wanted to share it. 8)

***Edit*** Also it's sort of a trademark in this edit, that most of the major scenes in this film have a music pause before a major event. I never really realized I was doing it, until a few people mentioned it after watching my Version 2 cut. So it's a habit of mine, I guess.

Maybe some lightening? Just alittle hint of it?

I was thinking of playing with the lights in the room, have them flicker for a second. But not sure how well that would come across.

I think the sound is gonna stay. If you were watching that full screen with the sound turned up and didnt expect it coming, you would probably crap your pants. And thats the reaction I'm looking for 8)

 I love the ideas here also. Only problem I see is from a standard film flow perspective. By skipping the part of the Jedi sitting down and talking, you've now skipped these characters being introduced to the audience.

 At this point we are 6 min into the film and we dont even know these main characters names. Perhaps adding there names to the crawl would be a good idea. Cause thinking about the scenes after this. I think it would be a very long time before either of the Jedi's names come up again.

**Edit**LoL. I just rewatched the begining of TPM. Good Lord. during the sit down between the Jedi, Only Obi's name comes up anyways. Always thought they at least let you know both there names in that scene. Seriously, how long does the film go by before Qui-gon's name even comes up originaly? Wow Lucas, way to take care of the characters.
