Star Tours
Time

@Wook  There's one in the Star Tours gift shop, but not at Starcade.  For some reason those escalators are still in there, they've been roped off for years and I don't think they're officially used for anything.  Tomorrowland could really use a refab if only due to all the abandoned space.

@Frink: I knew you were going to say that.  No, really, I did.

Star Tours
Time

I was on it for the first time today and here's my thoughts, in bullet points:

-Queue is still fun.  Silly jokes from the bots, but that's how it was in the original if I recall anyway.  Good TK-421 joke, actually.  I am probably the only person in line who got it.

-The ride itself is... all right.  Went on twice and got an identical path, only with Ackbar giving us the coordinates one time instead of Leia.  My problem with this is that with the original star tours I expected the same thing over and over and loved it. With the new one, if I get the same thing it 's just "why again?" - almost with a sense of dread.  So I guess I didn't like the Hoth-to-Coruscant combo.

-Got a chuckle that the rebel fighter says the same line to 3PO he does the original pilot from the real Star Tours.

-3PO as the pilot isn't as fun as having another robot.

-The musical cues on my path were all from the OT, even at Coruscant.

-Really?  Rebel spies on our ship?

-Skip it.

PS - Disneyland, your "STARCADE" arcade is now another giftshop.  Take away that sign that taunts me by reminding me of the glory that once stood in its place.  Strange to consider Disney a place with a good arcade, but it was solid.  Still a few games in there now, but not even half.

Get anything for Christma- I mean, for the holidays? Brag here!
Time

Keep in mind I shopped for myself and put it on the parents' credit card.  It's what they wanted because shopping for other people is apparently too intense now.

-Muppet Show Season 2... despite protests from the 'rents that it was inappropriate for my age.

-Metal Gear HD Collection.  Once I beat 1 I'll go on to this.

-Looney Tunes Platinum Collection on Blu-Ray.  These shorts have never looked better.  And there's a lot of extras, including... a shot glass...

-Back to the Future: the Game.  They just released a physical copy for the PS3 for $20 bucks with all 5 episodes, check it out.  Lots of fun and pretty easy to pick up.  Be forewarned though that the game is very obviously meant to be a download and not on disc, as even with a blu-ray it hiccups quite a bit.

-clothes! And for the first time in my life I'm happy about that. haha.

Info: My attempt at color correcting the GOUT (Outdated thread - though lots of info)
Time

I like this a lot more than I did your blu color corrections.  It might boil down to personal taste, though - plus, you have a different goal with the GOUT than you do with the 2011.  On the GOUT you're just going for the most pleasing look, yeah?

This generally reminds me of LeeThorogoods earlier project, which I never did get to watch due to newsgroups...

Harmy's STAR WARS Despecialized Edition HD - V2.7 - MKV (Released)
Time

I might not be able to offer the insight that Aluminum Falcon can, but - despite my earlier comments to the contrary - I have to say that I find the color pallet a tiny bit too warm compared to V1.

V1:

V2 WP:

Timecodes may not match exactly but hopefully they demonstrate what I mean. Mind you, this may boil down to personal taste.  I'm still amazed by your work, and I won't deny that the new pallet certainly brings out lost detail a lot more than the previous.
