Could someone post a major example of the difference in quality?
I have the DE episode IV v3 on a disc and I see almost nothing wrong (SL DVD-RW)

OK, I have dvd+r's from Maxell that say they hold up to 4.7 gigs of space. This is single-layer, right? Is there a certain place I need to go to get dual-layer discs?

EDIT: actually, could someone post a worst-case scenario comparison of how bad it may end up looking?

First off, I appologize if this is the wrong section; I thought this would be the best place for it. A question for all you tech-savvy people here: I have the 1997 Special Edition of Star Wars in full screen; the only place I can see a major difference is the opening crawl. Can someone show me a few comparison shots, particularly those where you lose most???

A question regarding legalty: I own the original SE set on VHS. Does that allow me to download a fan edit or preservation that uses 2004 footage or OT laserdisc transfers?

Now, I'm aware of single-layer/dula-layer discs. But, what's the main difference? Is it two-sided or something?

I've looked it up but it's all so complicated! (sorry if I'm being a pest)

Yeah, I'm referring to those kid books that were written as a money-making gimmick for the PT. But, the first one is written very well - then, they switched authors (newer one was eh-ish by comparison).

Anyway, for anyone who has read these, wouldn't you want to see a TV series - or perhaps even just a fan movie (flash or LA) showing the story of the first one, from the perspective of ghost (I'm sure there's another term for that...) Obi-Wan? You konw, it could start out something like this.

DAGOBAH

(((a voice seeming far off, or perhaps subtitles as getting an Alec Guiness impersonator would IMO disrespect him))) Oh! Hello there, young one. If you're seeking Yoda, he has passed away. I am Obi-Wan, and I was a student of his.

Oh, I see; you can't see me, but you can just barely hear me. With proper training in the force, perhaps you could see me.

I used firefox 'find' key on every page, and I have yet to see anything reguarding the 'blue vs white' snow. Are you planning on color correcting that to make it white?

Also, will you fix the lightsaber inconsistency?
