Idea: OT film 16mm print?
Time

Originally posted by: Puggo - Jar Jar’s “Yoda”…

Really, a fan preservation from film (16mm’s pop up semi-regularly on eBay, and I have thought about it) would be a serious challenge… most of us don’t have access to the kind of ultra-high quality telecine equipment that George has.

Taking this quote from another thread (after my asking about it), I thought that if they DO pop up on e-bay that maybe someone oughta check it out. We can take the audio from the GOUT (or O4 mix… ugh…) and clean up the original film print. Granted it would not look as good as the ´04 DVDs, but there´s a chance it could look good. Anyone wanna pick one up, assuming it pops up on E-Bay again?

DISCLAIMER: I do not claim to know anything about any film format of this kind, OR claim to have a print. I am merely asking if someone has thought about doing such a preservation.

Shit, he was was in a coma, for crying out loud.

That is the reason why I don't get all worked up about when this project comes out. I would rather have Laserman better than ever see this finished. Come on people......

I would love to say something any more articulate than Richard, but I can´t; he put it perfect. Should Laserman see our comments, I hope that he realizes they are sincere and not a cry for attention.

Perfect comment Molly, ROTJ line in ROTJ thread. Agreed with blue, I'll watch it that way just for fun.
Regarding that, I'm actually a bit worried; I saw a video on youtube with blue saber, and, BAM! Those flashes were much stronger than in the original version. Is there a way you can fix this? And if you do an ANH *hopes*, could you lower the frequency of the yellow flashes or make them white or something like that to make them seem less prominent? Thank you.
EDIT: after seeing the first page, I decided I wanted to see if I could mess around with MagnoliaFan's crawl just for fun.

The Alliance's final battle is at hand.
The Galactic Empire is nearing
completion of a new armored
battle station, even more powerful
then the first dreaded DEATH STAR.

While the scattered Rebel Alliance
regroups, Luke Skywalker journeys
to his home planet of Tatooine to
escue his friend Han Solo from the
clutches of the vile gangster
Jabba the Hutt.

It is a perilous time for the
remaining freedom fighters
struggling to restore peace
and justice to the galaxy,
as the Empire prepares its
own fleet for the showdown...

It was not my intention to come across as mean; now that we understahnd that, we can go back on topic XD
Is the heresy (spell?) mix worth hearing?
Also, a question for ADM: this was created before DE's v3, right? Are you going to do a hybrid using his later editions out of curiosity?

Cut Footage after burning
Time
Hello,
I will make this clear: I. AM. NOT. SMART. I use Roxio for my burning and other crap, and ALWAYS lose footage - so fansub dvds = no chance. So, instead THIS time, I tried a different procedure: Windows Movie Maker. I changed the aspect ratio to standard 4:3 NTSC, and burned; it did not work, so I ripped the VTS files that were ON the disc (that part worked) using DVDShrink to my computer. Then, I burned it again on the same RW disc; it worked fine, but instead of the subs being chopped off, I lose footage on the sides. The WMV WMM made has the footage, can someone help me? Any FREE program that will fix this?
Thanks,
~bkev
