There was an extra feature on Deleted Magic with the dogfights (meaning the final star wars scenes) where he reconstructed how it was originally scripted. I would assume that would be where this is.

One of the missing music sequences I would like to see re-instated (spell?) in the movie would be the one used when Han Solo is just walking into the base after dismounting his tauntaun. I don't have Building Empire on hand, so I can't check to see if that's exactly where it is, but I'm pretty sure that's where it goes. I thought it worked well with the scene.

Frevious, I think you're totally obsessed. Sure, I'd love to see the OT too - but better a world with the special edition than no Star Wars at all. If you have, as I understand your post to say, lost faith in everything just because of one movie director, well... good luck in life.

Definitely the OOT deserves a competent release, that's why many of us are here - but, seriously. Cut the drama. If it comes, it comes; if it doesn't, it doesn't. You'll always have your memories.

Well... I do like the Biggs scene that's in the movie now at the Rebel Base; the others though ruin the pace. I despise most of the SE effects, so. Yeah. Actually, something interesting about the Rebel Base Biggs scene is that even that has been altered from its original form. The other pilot mentions Luke's father in the way the scene was originally cut, but a CG man walking in front of him when he speaks the line takes care of that "mistake".

I respect George Lucas a filmmaker. I think he still knows that a good story is more important than special effects, he just can't write a good story anymore.

As for the special editions; I believe the movies are his, and he can do whatever the hell he wants. He just shouldn't be allowed to disown the theatrical editions.

Hey there Adywan, I think this has been noted; but, a lot of the new windows in Cloud City stand out. I can't grab any screens at the moment, but the particular scene where they appear to be running outside* has always stood out and not fit. In short, will you be leaving all updates in Cloud City, or restoring a few to the original way?

*My memory may be fading and this could be non-existent.

I should've said that. Star Tours was the one ride my mom could stand going on thousands of times when I was little, back when we'd go to Disneyland at least once a month.

While I DO like podracing (the videogames are fun and it reminds me of Oban Star-Racers) I don't like a childhood memory being replaced. This'll be what the prequels were for you guys: a bastardization.
